| I just wanted to fill you guys in on what's going on. Usually I have the schedule done if not already posted on the website by this time.
The schedule WILL BE OUT BY THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.

_________________HERE'S THE NEWS:________________
- One of the original teams, "Hurricane Alley #1" managed by Joe Clemenic had to drop out of the league this year. Ironically, a new team called me for a spot in the league just a few days after knowing H. Alley might drop. I got the new team's information.
They were to be going to their sponsor to get the money last Friday. (4/9)
Today (4/13), I find out that the new team DID NOT get the sponsor, after being assured there wasn't goint to be a problem, and now no longer can join because a majority of their players can't pony up the money.
Personally, I'm not happy by this at all. I'm not upset with H. Alley, because I knew about their potential drop weeks ago. I just thought it was a win/win situation when I knew Joe was dropping out and a new teams wanted in, then I basically get screwed up with only 13 teams.
THIS IS WHAT I AM GOING TO TRY TO DO WITH THE SCHEDULE.......
- We are now going to play a 13 week regular season. We need the extra week, because each team will now have a "BYE WEEK."
- We will now play EVERY team once.
- We now have to use 1 of the "make up" weeks as a regular season week, only leaving 1 make up week to use before Playoffs.
- I am going to try to keep the 10:00am slot at Frick as an "OPEN" slot allowing teams to possibly schedule a make up game with one of the other teams already at that location for the 8:00am game if necessary, through out the season.
- I need teams to try to make up games as quickly as possible and not wait to use the last week of the season incase you or that other team has multiple rainouts.
- Teams can use Boston Field at 11:00am - 1:00pm for make ups as well as Frick Field 1 at 10:00am.
- I'm sorry about all this crap so late in the preseason, but there will be a team on BYE in Week 1. It sucks for whoever it is, but it's now something that has to happen to 1 team each week. These "BYE WEEKS" can be a good opportunity to make up a game as well.
