| I don't agree with having a rained out game on a long weekend. People have lives other then baseball and shouldn't have to rush back for a game. That is why we have rainout games on the schedule. Use them up first then worry about scheduling games on long weekends. 85% of our team will not be able to make it so now we are suppose to call up the spares (reserves). It just doesn't make sense to me.

| How would you be rushing back from a long weekend? The reschedule games are being played at 20:00 and 21:30. So that makes it less than four hours left on the weekend. We in the masters are playing at 18:30.

| Well.....Lets say your cottage is 6hrs away, to make the game at 8pm you would have to leave at 2pm and the way traffic is every long weekend, it you wanted to be safe, you would then have to leave at 12pm. If we didn't have the game I could leave at 5pm and be home by 11pm with no traffic and no headaches.
But you are probably thinking who's cottage is 6hrs away, so even if it is 3 hrs away and you leave in-between noon and 5pm you will be in traffic for 3hrs so a trip that would take you 3 hours now takes you 6 but if you were to leave at 5 or 6 (after dinner) like most people do to avoid traffic it would be less hectic and less time on the road.
But I am sure you already knew that and were just being smart or you have never been to a cottage on a long weekend.

| Stop crying - Enjoy your cottage and don't show up. Your teammates will probably prefer that.

| I second that! Miss the game and stay at the cottage as long as you'd like. I can't believe I am responding to this post! More importantly I can't believe that you are actually complaining about this!

| Really, THE WAY IT IS, a full 85 % of your team won’t make the game this coming holiday Monday? Really?? You mean to tell us that 13 guys from your roster will NOT be there?? Wow, you’ve got a lot of cottage owners on your team. You guys must drink fancy expensive beers after the game and/or chardonnay.
If that is really really true (but me thinks you may be exaggerating a little!!), I’d suggest phoning the other team plus the league executive to see if you can re-schedule to later in the year.
Seems like a simple solution to me.

| So far we have 7 that can't make it and the email was just sent out last night.
All I am saying is why not use the rain out scheduled games, that is what they are there for. Worry about running out when the time comes.

| The way it is,
15 players are on your roster, 7 are out, and so by simple math you have 8, get some spares and play the game. Does your team have a short squad like some of the others? The next available “RAINOUT” date is June 30th. That is a Wednesday before the July 1st holiday. The game should be schedule then, would that be ok with you, I know the answer. So shut up do some work and play on Monday night.

| Chris Gonsalves, You need to contact THE WAY IT IS directly. I think you've finally found a volunteer to help you in preparing the schedule for 24 teams, securing diamond time and organizing rain dates.
Ps. Thanks, Chris, for all your hard work doing this!!

| It looks like we will have our first and hopefully last default of the year. It is too bad because I think Kelsey’s (assuming that they are the ones whining here) need all the wins to avoid the first overall pick in the 2011 draft.

| It is so easy to complain but very hard to find solutions. What is your resolution to the rain out problem? You do not have one. Now that is the way it is.
