| Why is it a 4 base error in slow pitch softball when an outfielder jumps for a homerun and it hits his glove before it goes over the fence? It's not a 4 base error in baseball. It's not even really an error!! It's a tough play. Anyone know the correct ruling on this?

| Its not really called a 4 base error its called a 4 base award, and if the ball touches an outfielders glove at all no matter how hard the play it does not count against the homerun total.

| Yeah, it's officially called a 4 Base Award, but everyone calls it a 4 Base Error. The reason it doesn't count that way in baseball is because there's not a HR limit in baseball.
