In the battle for the NFC South division, it was the Lions over the Falcons to dethrone ATL from atop of the mountain. 28-17.

The AFC playoff picture is up to date, here is what happened.

AFC Wildcard games:
Jags @ Chargers (William Chalmers vs Tom Johnson)

The Chargers made some huge blunders during the game (i.e, missed passes, not taking chip shot FGs) but seemed to have things under control. The game went to OT with the Chargers winning the flip and getting the ball first. The Jags forced them to punt from the end zone. The left defensive end blasted thru to tackle the punter for a game winning safety! 16-14

Steelers @ Ravens (Ernie Grice vs Glenn Phoenix)

This game was marred by some questionable calls, and constant out burst from the peanut gallery. The calls went both ways and by no way determined the winner. The game was close, and came down to the last possession. The Steelers hit a crucial TD pass with under a minute to go to take a 13-7 lead. The Ravens had their chances....especially when team MVP #31 J. Lewis slipped out of the backfield and was wide open for a TD, but the pass went high, and the Steelers were able to hold on and take down the favored Ravens.

AFC Divisional games:
#5 Jags @ #2 Dolphins (William vs Adrian Baxter)

This game went back and forth all day and had the feel that the last team with the ball would win. The Jags forced OT on the last play of regulation with a short pass for the TD (21-21). They also won the flip to start overtime with the ball! But they couldn't move the ball and punted the ball away. Once the Dolphins got the ball they knew what to do with it...take it to the house! They hit a long pass and the receiver did the rest of the work. Final 27-21

#6 Steelers @ #1 Titans ( Ernie vs Kelvin Lomax)

Both teams started off by scoring on their opening drives. But it was the #1 ranked defense of the Titans that made some adjustments to slow down a very potent offensive attack of the Steelers. On offense the Titans mixed in some timely runs to keep the blitz happy scheme of the Steelers off guard.

AFC Championship Preview

#1 vs #2
Adrian didn't want to face the Ravens in getting to this point. They were glad they got knocked off!
Lomax didn't want to face Adrian in this game. He was pulling for young William to upset him.
Adrian has already went out and said to tell Lomax he's coming to open a can of you know what!!!!!!!!
The #1 defense of the Titans will be tested. The Dophins WR's havent' been checked all season.
The perfect season is on the line...the Titans are now at 17-0
Lomax is in his 2nd AFC title game in 3yrs of playing in the NEFL. This is Adrian's rookie season.

Predictions?

The NFC is a little behind.

Packers @ Lions (Andrew Stewart vs Dearell Brevard)

The Pack Swept the Lions last season, and the season before that. This season the Lions were moved into the South division. This game will be played Sat, June 12th with the winner going to SF to play the #1 seeded 49ers.

Eagles @ Bears (Robert Chalmers vs Keith Chalmers)

Who's your daddy? The Eagles were able to beat the Bears early this season, but this time was for all the glory, and Big Keith wasn't playing any games. He used mental warfare to get into the mind of his son, and it proved to be the edge he needed. The Bears milked the clock down the stretch to set up a chip shot FG. This tactic has back fired on the coach a couple times during the reg season, but it was money on this occasion. Final 13-10.

NFC Divisional Games:

#3 Bears @ #2 Cowboys (Keith vs Al Harvey)

Game to be played Sat June 12th.
Keith knocked Al out of the playoffs last year on his way to winning the title. The year before that Al lost to eventual NFC champion Brian Healey, so he has game, and is always a title contender.

#4 or #5 @ #1 49ers (Dearell/Andrew vs Corey Johnson)

Game to be played Sat June 12th.
Neither coach has beaten the National One before, but all those games were in the reg season where CorEy is the league's all time wins leader. When the big lights of the playoffs start, he blows out like a candle. 0-5 the last five years.

NFC Championship game:

TBP June 12th
