| * * * POSSIBLE FUTURE LOSS OF PERMIT * * *
I was just informed by Frank (T-Birds) that we (our league) wERE given a WARNING regarding the use of either Frick fields when wet. Apparently this is our ONLY warning.
Apparently, a city official left a voice message stating that WE WILL LOSE OUR PERMITS FOR FRICK FIELD AND NEVER BE AWARDED A CITY FIELD AGAIN if we are found fixing the fields, or playing on a field that is soft/muddy.
I didn't hear the message so I'm not 100% sure what was said, but I will be saying this for the final time. DO NOT WORK ON THE FIELDS AT FRICK to make them playable. The city takes care of them during the week.
Trust me, I've played softball for over 20 years and I never want a rainout, but I also understand what the loss of a permit would mean to THIS SEASON and maybe future seasons.
