| Can someone please help me out, if you get tossed from a game, does that come with an automatic suspension for at least one game?

| You should be out for the remainder of the playoffs, however it will depend on who it is.We have seen some fine examples of lost tempers followed by abuse to the umps.

| What do you do AFTER a player has been ejected? How do you change their behavior?
Those are the real questions.

| Thanks for the comments from MAS, it was a great game the other night. I think it would make sense for the executive to let everyone know whether a player that is ejected from a game is out for just the game, the playoffs or whether it is subjective - probably worth while knowing prior to tonight.
Secondly, I would also like to understand why Grocer and CP are playing a two-inning game from scratch as apposed to a continuation of the complete 5-inning game that ended in a tie. I'm fully aware there will possibly be player changes from Monday to Saturday but please help me with the rationale of not continuing where the game left off!

| Whalen,
My understanding of the replay game is straightforward. The score was tied after 5, is that precise? If VG or CP were winning the game by pick a number then everyone would want the game to be completed, is the real question? Does your perspective change because of the score? Please show some genuineness when you answer the question. It is so typical of you to change a subject to feed your own narcissist personality.

| It should be played where it stopped. By starting a "New 2 Inning Game" you can change your sits. When the game was stopped one team may have been at the top of the batting order - other team may have been near the bottom. Not sure what to do with players who could not make the game on monday...

| I was told last night that the person who was ejected can be defined by his obsession with fantasies of unlimited success, fame, fearsome power or omnipotence, unequalled brilliance and lack of sportsmanship.
He is firmly convinced that he is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people. He also requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation - or, failing that, wishes to be feared on the bases and to be notorious.

| I will tell you exactly why I would like a continuation. To end the 5th we made a double play on Burton who is the 5th batter, therefore Grocer would be starting with their 6th batter. Grocer's top 5 batters (in my opinion) are phenomenal ball players - Let's be honest would anyone in a 2 inning game want to face those 5 batters again to start the game - No. We had our last batter up and then the top of our order. We have 4 potential pinch runners, they have 1 left, we have sat everyone once, so our ability to field anyone was also an option. The two teams actually agreed to a tie because no matter how it is played out the loser has a great reason to feel screwed.

| What do you mean both teams agreed to a tie?? The playoff rules say no games can end in a tie. Do you guys think you’re Abner Doubleday, and can just change rules to fit your own requirements? Since you’re in such an “agreeing” mood to change the published rules, while you’re at it, why don’t both teams agree to play with 12 players in the field, and to have 8 outs in an inning?
Sheesh, move on!

| Those who are asking why we're starting from scratch all answered their own question...it's being done this way because lineups cannot be same. It doesn't matter where you finished the game, if the same players are not there you can't have the same lineup to start the new one. And Whalen, we did not agree on a tie. We agreed that we would not replay the entire game and that we would pick it up, tied, in the 6th. The Exec.s did not support awarding a tie. You raised a valid point that both teams liked, and it was discussed, but even before you left we all knew we weren't both getting a point. It is also important to mention that the decision was made by the Exec.'s, with representation from Wing It, Crupi, DST, Remax, VG and Plumbers. It was an agreed upon decision. Move on...

| To get back to the opening post, yes there was an ejection. We all know that in the playoffs, the intensity level goes way up. One particular player took it up just a little more than necessary, and I dealt with it. He and I discussed it after the game, and there were no issues or complaints with how it was handled.
As a matter of policy, ALL ejections are reviewed by a Disciplinary Committee. I believe that the Committee has made a decision that, because in part that it was his first offence, there will be no further suspensions. I fully support their decision.
So anyway, let’s move on. Let’s get back to playing good ball, and make sure we all have a fun weekend.

| Firstly, to Rayovac, probably the most eloquent post I have ever seen on the forum. Proper English, no obvious grammatical errors and completely coherent. Well done!
As far as the player getting tossed, not sure what the exact rules are but if it is a suspension then he should be gone. Rules are rules and we all need to adhere by them or pay the consequences.
Kerr, Crupi.

| Grocer boys give it a rest. Who's doing the whining now, at least they had a very good reason/argument. You just made because they've knocked you out the past2 years. Apart from one of them throwing his bat down there's no issue. They tried to talk to Chris calmly and rationally but that didn't seem to work.
Personally myself and alot of others would like to hear why grocers were allowed to start at the top of their lineup.

| Com-Tech,
I play for VG and I am not sure why you think we are the ones doing all of the complaining regarding the Plumbers. As far as I know and in almost all cases we get along fine with them. Yes they did knock us out two years running but I am not sure what that has to do with the argument at hand. They beat us fair and square and no bitching from our part. Now what a guy like you is doing commenting about the situation when you clearly know nothing is another matter! If I'm you I move on before I embarrass myself any further.

| Wow, I didn't realize this got so out of hand. Let me put some facts to this story.
first, yes I am a very competitive guy when it comes to baseball, I'm not sure why, and I try not to be but I am. But I don't think I'm anymore competitive then 25% of the people in the league.
Yes, I was totally confused and disappointed with the decision that was made by letting our game start new for the last 2 innings. The initial night we discussed that, everybody was calm in trying to give their opinions. Both teams did agree on a tie but that was shot down when Chris and the other execs got there(Scott f), and I can see why that didn't fly. Nobody from either team really argued about that, just good discussion. Anyways we left and let the couple of execs make the call. We didn't find out about the ruling that we would start 2 new innings until Friday night.
Saturday I approached Chris very calmly and asked what his thoughts were in making that decision. Chris and Jamie from VG were there as well. After getting a lecture that our team wasn't present at the team meetings prior to the playoffs I was told that we didn't deserve an explanation. Chris than said would you like to play with the same lineups and we would get an automatic out for Ron who wasn't there(he was in California now), I agreed, but that got shot down by Chris. At this time I would agree that my voice raised and I told Chris that I believe the only reason for this decision was that fact that he had it against us. I left because I knew I would lose my temper and that's when I called Brett over, to continue the talk.
That's it from my side. I can't really see why this has exploded like it has on the forum.
Personally I thank you Nate for being the only person to put your name on one of the "Whalen Hate" comments. I would like to buy you a drink next time we see each other and work out any other issues you might have with me. As mentioned I'm competitive on the field but would like to think off the field were ok.
I would love to see you other people who have hidden behind an alias to come out and say who you are. let's talk this out, maybe I am missing something and we could work this out.
Thanks for listening Mike Whalen

| Moron is a term once used in the USPL to denote a player that plays for the Plumbers also know commonly as ComTech. The term is closely tied with behavior such as constant complaining about everything and anything.

| Merely a suggestion here...but if we do another championship game at Crosby.... we need to fix the infield, is was a little tough with bad bounces etc....if that's the case, should a little work be done on the field beforehand for such a momentous occasion?
Just sayin...
