So judging my the lack of negative comments about a picnic I'm going to guess that it's a go. I'll make arrangements accordingly.

Date: Sunday October 24th
Time: 2pm until ?
Event Schedule: 2-4pm socializing/football
playing? 4-5pm eating (potluck style)/drinking 5-7 free fun time to do whatever followed by meeting at the Wagon Wheel for the Packer/Viking Showdown.

I'll wait for responses to this to fully engage in the planning :p

Silly wabbits...

Locations? Do we want to go to the farm and play some wiffleball and/or football? We have room for both. Otherwise we can go to the field in Brill, I need to know though so I can have everything properly mowed

Sounds like a great day guys. That day (Oct. 24) is one of those important days in my life, thus I probably shouldn't show for the festivities! But have a Wonderful time! Go Vikes! (My wife's birthday)

Anyone have an opinion on where to have the picnic part?

It is still happening. The time is noted above. I didn't want to make more work for the Bruncliks that's why I suggested the park in Brill but I guess it makes no difference to me.

Jensen crew will supply the meats (hot dogs, brats, hamburgers) and condiments. As well as a couple cases of pop. And probably coffee, hot chocolate, and/or cider.

Infielders please bring a hot dish or salad of some sort.

Outfielders please bring a dessert.

All other beverages will be bring your own style.

Also please spread the word as I realize not everyone checks the forum.

Any other suggestions will be given to my secretary and then properly filed in the bin reserved for trash.

Thank you and have a lovely day.

Are pitchers and catchers off the hook or are they considered infielders?

So many ways I could respond to that but I'll simply say..bring chips, a salad/hot dish, or a dessert. Your choice.

Let's party at the farm. I think we have more options here, such as mice for TJ, wiffle-ball or football along with other games. The shed for cover and wind brake, along with the big-A grill that's up there. If it's warm enough we can always drive down to the field for a home run derby.

Warm enough, WARM ENOUGH?!?! Do you think the Rangers, Yanks, Phils, and Los Gigantes give a damn about how cold it is? It is ALWAYS warm enough.

But anyway, that sounds like a good plan to me. I dont think I will hang around for the game, I dont want to use any language that may offend innocent ball players.

Sorry guys, but I can't make it. I'm still working on finishing my basement, and I've got my father in law coming over to help. Yeah, I know. I'm not done yet. It's like I spent the whole summer doing other things.

Have fun for me!

So baseball players sometimes give up baseball related events to do stuff around the house?!?!! I never would have guessed...... Thank you Chris for that insight...I now have an example when we have things to do, and you know who has baseball on the brain!

Leave it to Chris to ruin it for the rest of the class.

As your principal, I am sending you to detention Christopher. And those who are late "GET NO FRUIT CUP!!"

I know it is a tad late but I wanted to thank all of you who were able to make the picnic. For those who could not, please keep checking back because I may or may not be planning another small shindig for later in the off season.
