| I have 17 teams that have all committed and confirmed that they are playing. If someone backs out, we'll change it again, lol.
Couple things: - MOST IMPORTANT! All players have to check in at the concession stand and print and sign their teams waiver form. Managers/coaches are responsible for making sure this happens and will sign so. If it is found that a game has started and someone has not signed the waiver form, the game will be a 7-0 forfeit. I'm sorry, but there is no wiggle room in this and saying "I didn't know" isn't a defense. If you're not cool with this, let me know and I'll take your team out of the tournament.
- Everyone should get 3 games on Saturday with 1 team getting 4 teams. - Sunday will start at 10am with the championship scheduled for around 2pm. - I will write in the times as the days go on. If we get ahead of schedule, times will move up. - I have 4 or 5 teams that are from 80 or more miles away. If I can, I will give them the first games in the single elim. - Again, we have 17 teams. Some teams will have a 5 or 6 game break in between games. It's just part of having this many teams in a tournament. - Besides the first games of the day, be ready to play a half hour before your scheduled start time. If we're ready to play and you are not there, it will be a forfeit. Sorry, but if we can get ahead of schedule during the round robin, we'll do whatever we can to do so. - There is no water at the fields. This means that the bathrooms will be closed all weekend. It might get to or below freezing at night, so the park district has to turn the water off and drain the lines out.
I will have a Worth BJ Fulk that will be raffled off. Also, there are too many teams for a HR Derby, but I'm working on something to have in it's place. Winners of this will get their choice of an Easton bat or a Miken Freak Plus. The money raised from these 2 events will go to a local family who is really in need of the money. More information will be at the park on Saturday.
I'd like to thank Dennis Turner of Worth Sports and Brett Helmer of Easton Sports for donating these bats to this cause. The raffle will be $2 per ticket or $5 for 3 tickets. Again, it's going to a really good cause so I hope everyone can get involved.
Now for the TENTATIVE game times. Field assignments will be posted at the Concession Stand when you sign in.
