| Yeah, if it could be done I don't see why people wouldn't play there. Now, talking about building an all infield turf complex is one thing. Making it happen is another.
Also, trust me when I say this. Not one person who has run or is running the Marion league would be saddened if someone opened up a complex. Guys volunteer to do this and it is a complete pain in the ass to run a 40 team summer league.
I would personally do everything I could do to help you get it going. I'm sure Abney would too.

| I appreciate it Dan we have some big plans for it everything is goin good so far what we eventually hope to accomplish is a 4 field complex 2 baseball 2 softball Wich we could use all four for tournaments we might just go with 3 and a polebarn style building with a full court basketball set up a turf section for flag football, wiffleball, soccer etc. We would like to encourage eveyone to comment and show support for this it will show our backers that the community would utilize this facility and make it a success.

| Feel free to give me a call. I worked with an investor last summer who was planning on doing something in the area, but I think those plans have fallen through.
If you want, I can explain more if you want to give me a ring.

| We are hoping to have it in or around marion. We will probably start out with just the fields and build on from there.

| What else do you want? Investors wont throw in tens of thousands cause how maby replys there are on a message board. ask the guys who run the league what theyd do. probably the best first step

| great idea!!!!! do it!! a decent complex with a 3-4 fields is something the area needs.(im surprised we dont have something like cape or poplar bluff now) the local sport would grow and the potential for multiple quality tournaments is a no brainer. a central location would attract softballers from all over so. illinois & the complex would end up being the hub for most of the area leagues. im sure league fees would increase but its and easy trade off for a safe infields and 300' fences.

| i think it will definatly benefit softball in southern illinois. turf fields r a big plus no weird hops and alot more rain before games r cancelled. no first base sandboxes to play in. hope everything works out with this.
