| Sharks vs. Raiders
Raiders coming off three straight losses need a big win here to rebuild some confidence going into the playoffs. However the Sharks looked pretty impressive last week as they put on a show lead by QB Phil Cushion. Normally you would think the Raiders win this game easily but if they are without Star DE Abby Johnson again this week, they could leave the door open for the Sharks to steal a win late in the season and a possibility of sneaking into the playoff picture. As much as it would be interesting to see a Sharks win, I just can’t see the Raiders dropping 4 straight games to end the season.
Spread – Raiders -9
Cowboys vs. Playmakers
Cowboys making a late season push with back to back dominate wins are looking to kick the Playmakers while they’re down. Playmakers have showed some vulnerability as of late, it appears a relentless pass rush is the secret to derail their offense. If the Cowboys can duplicate their defensive performance from last week they have a chance to shutdown the dangerous combination of QB Rob Servidas and WR Pat Hussey, but on the other hand Playmakers are also the type of team that can rebound following up a loss by lighting up the score board. With both teams already having a playoff spots locked up, this game will only determine how difficult of a path they will need to overcome to reach the Championship. I see this being a pretty good match up but I think the Playmakers are going to take the Cowboys down a few pegs and secure themselves the #2 seed.
Spread – Playmakers -6
Unknowns vs. Chargers
Chargers showed they are hungry and ready for these Indoor playoffs to begin after dismantling the Raiders last week. It seems like this week’s opponent is not going to slow them down either, with the crafty lefty QB Tim Uhl now at the helm of the Chargers offense, they should steam roll right through the Unknowns handing them their 6th and final loss of the season. With the win and a Playmakers loss the Chargers have the possibility of moving into the #2 seed with a first round bye. If they can manage to find themselves in that situation I would have to say they would be the heavy favorites to be competing in the Championship. Look for the Chargers to keep their foot on the pedal and win this game big, finishing their season strong after a rocky start.
Spread – Chargers -20
Knights vs. Old School
Pretty much being a repeat of the 8:00 game between Unknowns and Chargers. This game should be one sided, as the Knights look to complete their undefeated season finishing 6-0 and locking up the #1 seed heading in to the playoffs. After a little early season bickering on the message board between MVP candidate QB Jon “Ish” Esmail and Old Schools Coach Shane in which Ish said, “The only thing ill eat is your secondary.” He may be right, it just seems like the Knights offense is overwhelming for any defense they go up against never mind a defense that gave up 39 points to a previously winless Sharks. Even if Old School can somehow get their dual threat QB/WR Jerome Mitchell to actually show up for a game I don’t think it will make a difference. Knights win big, but will they be the 1972 Dolphins a finish the season raising the trophy or will they be the 2007 Patriots and win all these games for nothing and choke in the big game.
Spread – Knights -23
