| Unionville Festival 2011 - This Weekend. Go to www.unionvillefestival.com USPL Members, The Festival runs all weekend and we 'd like to remind you to come join us and bring family and friends for a great weekend in Unionville. This year, we have Main St. closed all weekend. On Friday night, there are bands at the north end (Main and Carleton) and at the Bandshell at Fred Varley and Main. The north stage has Alex Carter and the Tone Dogs playing rock and blues and after that, Jack de Keyzer plays from 9:30 to 11:00ish. Jack has played with Blue Rodeo, Bo Diddley and has won 2 Junos. "The finest blues guitarist in Canada" Jeff Healey "If Jack de Keyzer was from Chicago, New York or LA, he'd be famous" Bob Dylan At the south stage, Brian Roman sings Elvis, Neil Diamond, Sinatra and more - all night long. Saturday morning is the largest parade in York Region at 10:00. Joe Bowen is grand marshall. All day music up and down the street, food, vendors, Krazy Kraft Race at Toogood Pond. Fun Zone - Leafs, Argos, climbing wall and more. Next is the huge beer garden and concert in Crosby Park. 4 bands featured. King of Nothing, Tone Dogs, Danny Marks (Edward Bear and Jazz FM) And Chuck Jackson from Downchild Blues Band. Beer, coolers, wine and more food. At night, huge fireworks at Toogood Pond - go early for a good spot, DJ playing. Sunday is Family Day in Crosby Park. Kids, games, pets, karaoke, treasure hunt and more. Music on the street.
