Type : 4 game guarantee/ $200 Entry
Rules: NSA rules, .44 core 400 comp balls or less will be allowed balls MUST be optic yellow (for example .40 core 325 comp will be allowed, .47 core 525 will not be allowed) any NSA/USSSA/ASA approved & legal bats. 3 homeruns and then outs, 1 more homerun can be purchased for $5 at coin flip, or 3 homeruns for $10 can be purchased before coin flip if both teams agree to purchase (both teams must agree to purchase 3 hr's otherwise it will not be allowed for one team). 1 Hour time limit. Players may only play for one team. Format is pool play which consists of a 5 team round robin and then the winner of each pool goes to the single elimination round to play for the championship. Pool winners will be decided by overall record 1st and then the tiebreaker will be head to head record. If there is a 3 way tie ( highly unlikely but almost happened last year) the tiebreaker will be runs allowed in games played.
How this tournament will work is based on a 30 team max, so get in early. There will be six pools of 5 teams which will play a round robin within their own pool for their 4 game guarantee on six separate fields. Each pool will consist of like caliber teams. B/C class will be playing 4 other B/C class teams, and D and E will be doing the same. If their are 10 E teams then there would be two pools of 5 E teams. Each winner of their pool goes on to the single elimination tournament, so 6 teams will move on.
Initial matchups in the single elimination round are randomly drawn out of a hat from the 6 remaining teams with 2 byes being awarded.
Prizes for pool play winners: 1 NIW Bat per pool will be rewarded
Prize for the single elimination based on 30 teams 1st is $750 and 2nd is $250.
