| The 2nd annual USPL FUN Tourney will be held on July 22/2011. All USPL members are invited to participate.
Please contact Chris - cgonsalves@dstoutput.ca or George - gvos@dstoutput.ca if you’re interested.
Games will be played on Friday and Saturday only. (Milliken and Crosby diamonds).
Delicious refreshments will be available at the Crosby diamond.
The Rules for this tournament are
The cost is $30 per player, payable to the team captain. We will be using USPL balls, bags and umpires. Team t-shirts will be provided.
Only 5 members per current USPL team allowed on one team. (Minimum 12 players).
All USPL rules apply with the exception of the following:
• 70 minutes (no new inning start after 60 minutes) or 7 innings games
• 1 Home Run hitter per game (when you hit it you are designated the HR hitter) if someone else hits a HR the result is an out.
• 7 run mercy per inning with the last inning open.

| Don't forget the rule: Walk the home run hitter, and there is now no designated home run hitter 'til the next home is hit.

| All games will be played at Milliken, see below. Also, both fields (MM#4 and MM#5) can be used Friday and Saturday… Beer garden will probably be located beside the washrooms.
As you are well aware this spring has caused us many problems. Unfortunately There is one outstanding issue from this spring that still has to be dealt with. The fence at Crosby park needs to be rebuilt.
This work was scheduled to happen before the season was to begin but that did not work out. At this point the work needs to get done in order to be able to hold the price with the contractor and for Markham to honour it’s award of this contract. The Contractor has scheduled the work to begin on Monday July 18th. The job is scheduled for seven days. We will be closing the field entirely in order to allow the contractor to work later in the day if they need to or want to. This may help the job to be accomplished sooner but there is no way of knowing until the job is underway.

| Do we have the beer garden/gazebo area for the whole afternoon or do we have to be out by a certain time because it was reserved by someone else?

| Unfortunately, we aren’t using the gazebo, as it’s reserved Saturday afternoon.
We requested the field adjacent to the washrooms and the MM5 bleachers.

| Great job George and Chris. Another awesome tournament. It was a pleasure playing with and against guys from the league who I might otherwise not get a chance to. Congrats to team Green - great final. Team black will be back next year to make another run!
