| I think St. Anthony is better than Fan HQ. Just my opinion, though. Have seen Fan HQ, haven't seen St. Anthony, yet.

| We will find out tonight, the hogs are taking on the Fan HQ tonight, looking for their players who made the switch to the Hogs to play a large role in beating up on their former team. Should be a good one, beauitful day. If they don't run out of balls....Bethel Sucks

| Hey skyline stud. I agree with the bethel comment. Especially with all the balls those two teams "just miss." lemme know how the JV games turn out.
Love always,

| Also. I just couldn't resist.....I love that sport and spine is 10-0 in league and ranked in the top ten and even "A Ball" had to concede that they're going to find a way to choke their way out of the tournament.
As always love the projections and always spot on.
I'll be awaiting updates from skyline.

| Rankings....how can clubs with 9-7, 13-11 and 14-12 records be ranked this high? Are the leagues up here that watered down or what?
Sounds like Bloomington is the only real legit club and I will round out my rankings with any team who has won 10 state titles and I like the names "Park" and "Lyons Pub" so there you have it!

| take overall rankings and throw them out...they really mean very little. What matters is league record...

| First I wouldn't say that the leagues are watered down. I do believe however that the top half of both the St Paul league and park national are close in skill and can beat up on each other. Second if you play teams like Tonka as part of a non-conference schedule than the ranking may be justified.
I agree to some extent that the league record matters because usually everyone throws their best however it's the non league games where you don't always have a full ball club that force you to be a better team.
With that said I'd like to see sport and spine throw more than two pitchers ( playoffs 9 innings) and reach base by hitting the ball more than 15 feet past the base

| The premise of league records makes complete sense as I would assume teams would want to do better in league games for post season seeding. League games would especially mean more if a team only has two legit pitchers.
Playing tough non-league opponents should also be a factor in these for the fun of it periodic season rankings.
Left the area for a few years but moved back last summer. Caught some games then as well as several this summer. With all due respect same still seems to hold true from my limited present view point. In that if teams such as but not limited to Sport and Spine and the Capitals are bearing the torch on the East Side then I predict Riverview and Park National winning more games in the tourney as is usually the case for however many decades.

| Well, I was planning of staying off the forum do to personal reasons, but since there are individuals requesting more from the Stud here is your update. Hogs ended up beating Fan HQ in what turned into quite the pitching duel. Comming away with the victory was the Hogs 1-0 with Fan HQ squandering an opportunity late in the game by getting thrown out on a steal attempt and couldn't crack the egg.

| FYI non-league games dont mean much as far as credibility in my eyes as most class A teams travel to games and dont have there full rosters or throw there 3rd or 4th pitcher. League games is where you can judge how good a team is.

| Id like to weigh in on those scores......according to the logic being used on this forum approximately zero weight should be given to these games since apparently the teams show up and play with people off the street instead of the players they normally play.
So following everyone elses train of thought those games are all flukes. Blah blah blah.
Why even play non conference clearly no one is there to improve or test themselves against tough competition. Or see where they stack up against other teams in the state?

| This is baseball boys, you play nine innings (except for Bloomington) and usually the best team wins. That is why we enjoy the game, right? For the competition. I wish we played more non-conference games against St. Paul teams because there are some decent teams over there. Playoffs are on the horizon and as usual may the best team win... Good luck the rest of the way...

| Thoughts for "Cankles"
First of all I concur with what flarepieces and A Fan typed. "It is baseball" and we all should know that any team can beat any other team on any given night.
By the way what do you mean Bloomington does not play 9 inning games? What is that all about HS JV? The should not be for fun rated at #1 if they never play 9!
As far as the games you mentioned "Cankles" they probably have as much meaning as these games so here are my thoughts for you.
Angles 7 Caps 6 (top 10 A team) Pub 7 Caps 5 (top 5 A team) Miesvile 6 Caps 5 (top 10 B team) Cold Spring 8 Caps 0 (taste of Femrite perhaps?) Sauk Rapids 8 Caps 1 (arguably the #1 B team) Chaska 7 Caps 6 (top 10 B team)
Rocks 2 Shammy Sacks 1 Caps 2 Shammy 1 Sport and Spine 1 Shammy Jeans 0
Simply...non of these games mean a diddly thang!
Post Season means it all whether it is Tonka, Park or Pub winning games or Caps, Shammys or whoever else beating whoever else.
Thoughts?

| Wow! The capitals and shamrock have lost all those games? Sounds like they may have some issues they need to take care of. Hmm we'll have to see how the rest of the season plays out I guess. But if what you're saying is true then caps will probably end up in fifth in the league and shamrocks won't make it out of the bottom half.
Here we go ladies. Here comes the second half.
Love always,

| Love all the banter finally taking place!
Final Thoughts - These Rankings are for fun and the bottom line is whoever has the best and deepest pitching makes it to the Class A title game. Good pitching shuts down amatuer hitters all day long. Teams that lose are the ones who make errors or can not throw strikes.

| Agreed....errors first and foremost...can get away with a few walks here and there but errors are #1 followed by walks...I was just sayin "cank ankles"......thoughts were included but did not get back much from you...whatever...
...how about this St. Paul and Skypeline are weak leagues!
That should stir the pot....:)

| You know it should stir the pot but what is there to argue? St Paul kicked the balls out of park national and skyline showed a little back bone and did a little damage to the riverview ego.
I think the hitting by st Paul showcased the talent in the league this year and skyline showed that if you put one team together they can beat the riverview "B" squad.......just sayin where's tonka shortstop? Probably playing some stupid non conference game.
Hey old timer like the new spit sack by the way. Always great to see you

| without the presence of tonkas shortstop they were pretty well represented. 3 hits including a homerun from Rutledge, couple hits by Mike Davis, and one of the few scoreless innings thrown by Jeff Bray. The Riverview team looked pretty good, just couldnt stop the handful of Stockmens guys from hitting the ball all over the place for skyline. Exciting game to watch, even if a lot of the typical guys werent in the lineups.
