| 7/8/1934 - Max Bishop ties his own record by walking 8 times in a doubleheader. The first 8 walks occurred on May 21, 1930, while Bishop was playing second base for the Philadelphia Athletics in a double win over the New York Yankees, 15-7 and 4-1, despite 3 homers by Babe Ruth in the opener. Today, playing for the Red Sox, Bishop walks 8 times in 7-4 and 7-2 wins over the A's. He'll have one walk every 3.9 at-bats during his career, the second-best percentage in MLB history behind - Howard Thompson - I mean Ted Williams.
Anyone remember me....Max??? No...but the guy named Ruth...yeah you remember him. Hit the ball out of the ballpark.
