| The past couple days, I have had several calls asking me about eleminating the guards and center as an eligable receiver. Not sure where this came from, but the P.V.T.F.L. WILL always have guards and centers as an eligable receiver. This is something that our league was the FIRST to do and has been adapted to by other local leagues. By having the guards and center as an eligable receiver, opens up the offense and gives the lineman an opportunity to catch the football and not just line up and block all game long.

| Agreed! The way our league is, is what makes it so great. With every player on offense eligible, You have to startegize and use your brain more on defense which makes the game alot more challenging. Plus, we all love watching the fat guys score

| I just think that when you make the 3 linemen ineligable, you create a HUGE advantage for the defense. Now, all you have to cover are the 4 WR's because the lineman and QB stay in. The defense can rush 4 guys creating a 4 on 3 situation on every play. That leaves a free rusher going untouched to the QB.....b o r i n g. Those that like the lineman to stay in say its more like "real football". I never really understood what that meant. Does it mean that "real" football as in NFL football? Because if thats the case, there is nothing...NOTHING that we do or any other league around here does thats remotely like the NFL. It's almost comical to compare.

| The defense is at a huge disadvantage with 7 being eligible at all times... no more than 5 are eligible at a time in the NFL.... and while we are not the NFL... taking away one eligible person would probably result in lower scoring and better defensive games

| So you are comparing what we play to the NFL. Why would you think that our game has anything to do with the NFL game?? The only thing we have in common with the NFL is we use a football and play on the same field dimensions. The NFL plays with 11 men a side, tackles the ball carrier, played by elite athletes with a unique skill set. We play a game that is fun for all, and allows us to play football at OUR level. I mean no disrespect but i find it laughable when what we do can be compared to the NFL game. To compare our game to the NFL is like saying wrestling is real....comical! Don't you think?
