| I haven't seen any posts here as of late, but I do hope people still check out this page. While some of us have no problem paying up whatever fees there are for the league, there are those who do struggle and were it not for the chance to relax with friends and have a good time, would have a hard time joining. So my question is why do some players think that they can just take that away by not showing up? Why doesn't the league put into effect a benching penalty for those who come late or don't show up, without prior notice? At the beginning of every season the commish' says, "Only five teams this year", but then too many people sign up and he is in a sore situation having to tell people, "Sorry, no there isn't enough space". Someone recently told me a way I felt dealt with both these issues, charge a premium starting position for 10 starters while charging a lower rate for say 5-7 replacement players per team. Now I'm not saying this is the way to go, but it's definitely an idea, hoping for positive and constructive responses. (I have no hard feelings for anyone on my team, but in almost half the games we played 50% of our team was last minute replacements, affectively costing us any chance of getting into a post-season situation.)
