| I don't need stats to come up with what my top players "in the state" would be or in this case my line up.
Additionally, I think CFYoung's club would beat mine.
1B Shallenberger (Mtka) 2B Lindstrom (Park) SS Hanahan (Rochestor) 3B Geason (Chaska) C J. Johnson (Chaska) LF Royce Diop (Pub) CF Urbaine (Mtka) RF ? OF ? DH Weigel (Shakopee) Rink (Cobras)
SP Femrite (Cold Spring) SP Siefert (Chaska) SP Olean (Miesville) SP ? SP ?
RP ? RP ? RP ? CL Bray (Mtka)
Too many solid OF's in the state to list a third guy to play RF or a 4th OF.
Also too many solid pitchers to round out the rotation but I would be happy starting with these three cats and Bray as the closer.
There would absolutely be a ton of guys to choose from in filling out a bull pen!

This list is a joke.

| No one will ever agree on who the best are since they will protect their own teammates (And themselves if they are that silly), but spinning it a different way from a pitchers prospective - these are the dudes that are personally not fun to throw to/ scare pitchers... Purely from personal experience, and haven't faced a lot of guys from other leagues.
Riverview:
Urby, CF, Mtka - Works the count, small zone, rarely misses a pitch to hit, on base more often than not and can get there in so many ways
Edina, SS - Toughest out so far this year, hits any pitch hard, covers the plate well
Shally, B Furrow, M. Davis 3-4-5 Tonka - My teammates, but glad they are. Wouldn't want to face any of them. Don't miss over the middle 6 of the plate, it will be hit hard.
Ab/Rut, Tonka - The buns of the boppers. Not fun to face any of our hitters, but 1-6 is a challenge every time, and 7-9 will make you pay if you relax. (Not stroking my boys, but I sure am glad I don't have to throw to that lineup)
Lindstrom - Dude gives me nightmares. Enough said.
Duda - College memories don't fade. Covers any pitch and usually makes you pay if you miss.
Huwe, Bloomington - doesn't crush, but takes a lot of pitcher's pitches and puts good wood on hitters pitches, very tough out.
Other leagues: Not pimping the Riverview, just have more experience seeing/facing them.
Schildgen/Diop, Pub - Two very tough outs and make you work hard every pitch. Can't miss with these two or you'll be in the stretch in a hurry.
Top 2 for the "Gators" (New team name?) are scrappy little dudes and can get on base in so many ways. Not fun to face.
There are a lot of good hitters from other teams, and I have no intention of slighting them, or any harm intended - but people want to see their name on this list and these are the dudes that I remember. Take it for what it's worth.

| "Barry Bonds" huh? Well anyone who would title themselves as you have in my humble wooden nickel of an opinion is "a joke."
He was good enough pre roid when he wore a 7 1/8.
What size lid do you wear? Should I have had you or your best boy on my for fun list and then would it have been valid?
You know who cares........
Additionally you sir must be a joke and or not know much of anything if you think my list was "a joke."
Erdahl brought up some other absolutely valid guys that I chose to leave out and I too would probably be more privy to The Riverview and or Class B since I know more about each. Followed by PN.....then SP and last but of course not least SL
Reiterating there are many players that could make up anyone's individual list I made mine Erdahl made mention of guys on his so lets see yours now roid boy.

Barry Bonds? Cmon? River? Really? You have to be kidding me bringing that weak stuff around here.
Geez Roids was that off the handle? or get in on the hands?
If I remember correctly River shut you down so you better throw him up there..... No sleeves and all.
And the rest of you? Sure run the Tonka lineup out there and end the conversation. Boom goes the dynamite. Give me a break.

| After watching Miller, Bjerken and the boys spank out hits all over the place last night, (where were you, Soft-Serve?) I'll take my comment to the bank. Miller well over .500 and not slowing down.

| Heeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyy
I gotta give the Irish some credit!!!! They came out and played well and beat a good Capitals team. Looked like both teams struggled a little bit on D but overall two solid ball clubs...... as to the claim about Miller and the best hitting team in state I still am not quite convinced. Yes they hit the ball and did so better than most teams however 25 singles between fielders isn't what I would call crushing the ball.
Miller looked good at the plate but even so, did he have an extra base hit?
Like I said great contact hitting team and good all around team I just don't see the power there to claim "best hitters" in the state.
Thank you. That is all.
Love,
Soft Serve

| Side note I think the Capitals had about 15 walks and hit 5 batters which may have contributed to it as well.

| Never said best hitting teamjust pointing out Miller. Power does not equal hitter. Has 5 HR to go with hitting .516.
25 hits, 15 walks and 5 hit batsmen = good night.

| 5 homeruns - not bad...but I'm going to say at least 4 of them were at that little field in S St Paul.. I'm not knocking his ability, the kid can hit - just saying that 5 homeruns at that park could be done by one of at least 100 Class A guys who arent considered "top hitters in state"...
just saying

| however, a .516 average could not be done by that many (100) different players in Class A. so hats off to the kid for his quality hitting in 2011 - GO D Miller.....

| Pretty sure that pitcher gave up a C&^K Shot and Miller got a line drive (yes just about killed that kid) but a single still.
In addition just need to throw it out there that even with all the walks HBPs and errors the Capitals were in a position to tie or win late in the game.
No doubt that kid is probably crying right now. Hats off to the best slap hitters in Class A

| 25 hits, 15 walks and 5 HBP = very poor pitching regardless of who was swinging the bat!
I assume this one two staffs combined.
I have to continue to wonder what goes on East of The River when in a playoff game between two teams who are viewed by some as top dawgs in the state go out and allow 45 base runners!?!?!?!?!
What was the score of this outstanding contest?
