| The topic of conversation in the independent league is now whether or not Brill Millers Manager Denny Musil decides to play his starters the final week of the season.
With a head soaked in beer, Musil pondered the decision on Sunday in Seeley. With the players waiting to hear what his decision would be, Denny said "Ah hell I donoooah, why don't youse guys decide."
Frank Means quickly responded "Well my average sucks, and Grantsburg pitching sucks worse, so I say we play." Keith Gay concurred, "Our pitchers and catchers are really starting to gel. It is like they have one brain right now, and both know when it is time for the back door hard one. We dont want to mess that up!"
And so, it is to be announced on today's ticker that Musil and the rest of the team have decided to risk playing in that meaningless 16th game of the season.

| And now for the real news. The Brill Millers are #1 in the latest WBA Power Ratings despite their poor 2nd inning performance against the defending state champion Haugen Knights.
