| Sting2012 - No preseason top ten, we will wait until the first week of competition, it will have more validation with team's results. But the Herald will publish a preseason ranking.

| yes but a top team SW? Anyway, I think Varela once again will dominate, maybe not like before but they will still go to state. Killian? they have a chance. Ferguson, they lost most of their starters. American is always there, so no surprises there. Edison is always solid and CP...well you guys were indeed a top 4 team at the end. Good luck during the season.

| CP top 8 in the state division 6A, top 2 in Miami Dade, and GMAC Champion. let me guess, huge fan of varela... did u went to last regional final against coral park? why there is always varela, killian or american the only ones that best can represent miami in states? Look refs, people, fans they always support this teams at any point in soccer. if im wrong and if you went to regional final game you could have notice that most of the tropical park benches were going for varela, plus the first goal was an outside for like 10 yards and you can watch it on youtube. the refs gave coral park yellow cards for nothing, and thank you. hope you understand what im trying to said

| Well, yes a big fan but....Varela has gone to state and won up north (I dont think the ref play favorites up north). I played for Varelat before they won big, Sunset was our nightmare. Since then, they have been not just state champs but national champs, 2 times. You guys were good last year but few schools can make the claim that they have gone to state and won. You are probably right that the ref gave you a few bad calls, but......Varela going to state was not a surprise, don't you think? Anyway, you will get another chance this year. I loved playing high school soccer....I hope that you enjoy it too. Good luck this season Rams!

| thanks a lot and yeah it was not a surprise(for somes it was a surprise, because killian beat varela in the district, and in regional finals they tied and they went to penalties kick so it wasnt that easy for varela), and varela has good players but at the end they are the ones that went up north like you said but it would be fair if referees can be partial for both teams, most of american players gratuated last year, hooligan do you play in college?

| Nope, I did not play but I finished college. I played with allen sanchez, you probably do not remember him but he was all herald. I do still play in competitive leagues and I do still go watch Varela play sometimes. Good luck this year, teams are very balanced this year.

| BTW - Varela always beats Killian in regional play offs, even when we are district runner ups.
Killian never beat us and in 2010 they got lucky since we lost in the first round.

| bob i think they are very well ranked cause last season they ended up top 8 of miami dade(PUBLIC SCHOOLS)i played them last year and they were a tough team... its true killian never beats varela but they lost in penalty kicks in disctric and then varela wins in penalty kicks in regionals.

| Bob - NMB #1 or #2? Why? Don't forget that Miami-Dade also has excellent teams in private schools. NMB is a very fast team but if anything American dominated your district every year.

| NB - Reagan can beat anybody......but they can lose to "anybody". From one to ten, ten being excellent...they are a 7. All of their players are good enough to compete, but very few all-Dade.

| Out of the 3 5A Boys district? I would say district 16 is first (Varela, Killian), 15 is second (Coral Park, Ferguson) and 14 is third.

| Booker T? This year they will be well coached. They are one of those teams that can at any time play well. Their players control the ball well. They have two kids on the offensive end that are good and they have a strong defense. They are not my school by the way. I have to play them. They'll be hungry to make a state run because they were independent the last three years.
In all reality, the top 10 could be filled up with several teams besides Booker T. Washington. I could have mentioned Reagan, South Miami, Columbus, Archbishop Curley, Westminster, Ransom Everglades, North Miami Beach, Miami Beach, Coral Reef. But this is why these things are fun.

| A lot more respect should be shown to Ronald Reagan, a lot of you have not played them and the team is All-Dade. Reagan shut down Braddock & Dr. Krop, 5x1 and 8x0. All of their opponents should beware of a great and full of chemistry soccer team ahead of you guys.
