In a two team tie is the first tie breaker head to head? Or does it always go to points against?

Head to head play will break a tie in identical records. Points against determines seeding if teams have yet to meet at that point of the regular season.

Your post had me looking at the standings and I looked at possible first round match-ups in the quarterfinals. We could have 3 out of the 4 first round games be rematches of games played this Sunday. Weird.

Dave,
Are we using Whitney and HHS for the first round of the playoffs? Just thinking it might make the most sense to keep the games at 9 & 10:30. I remember teams had problems with guys showing up having to play at 12:00 & 1:30 b/c of work and what not..... Thoughts?

Mike, I have been thinking about this very same thing for the last couple weeks. I could not announce anything until I was sure the field was available. Although it is not 100% official, it appears that we may have the OK to use Whitney Park for the first round games. Your point about the late starts (12noon & 1:30pm) are concerns for most teams. We have been using the 4 game format at Holyoke HS for the last several years. The positives about this format is that it allows all the teams to watch the other games and it makes it feel like a league event, which is a nice thing. BUT the negitive part about it is that the late games create issues with teams not having a full roster of players due to work obligations or other commitments. Therefore, I think the best solution is to have the top 2 seeds play at Hoyloke HS and seeds 3 & 4 can have the option of playing at Whitney at 9 & 10:30. OR chose to stay at Holyoke for the 12 vand 1:30 games.

i think all playoff games should be held at HHS due to the fact that is a good field and no one can complain about the field being messed up and everyone has the same advantage......
