It's the Holiday Season. Presents are bought, loved ones are visited and friends get together to wish each other Season's Greetings. I thought about writing the 12 days of Christmas for this forum but I couldn't figure out what to put for “eight maids a-milking,” and it got worse with “eleven pipers piping.”

So being the simpleton,I decided to thank 12 groups that have done a great job for USPL ball.(They are no means listed by importance, rather by what came into my brain.)

Day One: League Executives — Thanks for the fantastic job you did putting the season together. Pageantry, music, beer tent and the largest crowd I've ever seen at a playoff weekend. You guys outdid yourselves.

Day Two: Forum Writers— Thank you for keeping everyone up on all things that make our league fun.  I look forward to your comments. Remember— write when it's time to make us all smile.

Day Three: The Umpires — Safe, out, balls and strikes- were all good calls 99% of the time. Without you, what would we talk about after a loss?

Day Four: Summit 6t6  — Thanks for bringing the Championship to all the old Beezons. It's been too long. DST — Thanks for the class act — you almost got it. Just ask Santa for a few more runs and you'll be champs.

Day Five: Town of Markham — Your daily work with our fields are paramount to the success of our games. Manicured fields makes us all happy.

Day Six: The beer store — You make the most of keeping us coming out for the post game activities. Without you we wouldn't attract all of our new players. Players, please continue to drink responsibility.

Day Seven: Sponsors  — It's great to go around town and see all of us support our local sponsors. In this day and age, our sense of community is needed.

Day Eight: Team leaders — You all did a fantastic job. More important, the work you do all year should never go unnoticed. You make going to a game fun.

Day Nine:  Our Fans — Children, friends and relatives of all ages, we thank you. If you can't find an activity to do on a given night, come on down.

Day Ten:  Scoreboard young ladies —  you make us feel like we are playing in the pros, on a warm summer evening Crosby is a great place for everyone.

Day Eleven: The Arms — Thanks for supporting this forum with your generous comments. Without your help, a lot of us  would never laugh out loud on a daily basis. Griffith was a close second.

Day Twelve: USPL players — Thanks to all of the players in the league. I wish everybody a joyous Holiday and a Happy New Year.

Well said!!!! I would like to add another group, probably a sub-category - all the new playerin the USPL. Over the last couple of years I have had the plaeasure to play with and against a group of young guys that are polite, respectful and talented. They have brought the level of play up a few notches, and I sure like when they bring their twenty something girlfriends!

Great post, very impressive.
So this year is offically up and I have started reading noise for next year. I know I have personally spoken to some players, I would like to get a feel for who would like to play for us and start a new dynasty?

I now some of you are very cautious...LMBO

I want to erase this season from my memory. It's been a nightmare all-season long. Looking for big changes in 2014.

It was a mixed kind of year. Lot of bad things happened to people I know but good things Double knockout was a great thing the rain was a bad thing. Hear's to the good outweighing the bad in 2014.
