| North Branford is 7-man and those fields are only a few yards smaller overall. The question was asked if we would consider making the league 8-man in order to be more of a tool to lead into the spring but after talking to captains and weighing the options we will remain a 7-man league.
For starters I agree with most, 8-man on these fields would be over crowded. Secondly its not easy to get lineman as it is and considering the later game times i think it would be even tougher to add another. The 7-man style can be a great tool for outdoor if used correctly......timing between QB and WR's, working on zone coverages as well as trying out new players in a somewhat less competitive of an arena than 9-man.
