| Can a cheerleader who in 2011, that was moved up to (Midget Team), move back down to (Jr Midget)the appropriate age where she should be? Last year our program did not have a Jr Midget Team, but this year they will. Last year, this cheerleader had NO choice but to move up to Midget as there was NO Jr Midget team. Is there any rules about this?? There is no mention of this in the Pop Warner Rule Book...

| The rule book states that cheerleader can not be moved to a younger age group in the same season, she may be moved to an older group. But your association may have rules that say they can never go be moved to lower group. Association's have the right to make a Pop Warner rules more strict. And remember that the 2012 rules are not out yet. It may change.

| Hi, although the national rule book does state a cheerleader cannot be moved to a lower division in the same season. Eastern Mass rule states once a cheerleader cheers for a higher level they can not be moved back down to a lower level. I would discuss this with your association and or league director, there have been circumstances where EMASS has made exceptions. Follow the chain of command and I'm sure it will work it's self out.
