I had the privilege of playing with Bobby for two seasons with Bush's. Quiet leader on the field a BUNCH of fun off the field. Clutch power hitter and a gem defensively. As a first baseman, with a runner on first, he crept up to the base path, challenging the batter to hit it his way. BANG! Unassisted double play - awesome! One of my best off field memories of that team includes Bobby, Gene Perkins, Joey Howe & Whirly-Ball!

You left us way too soon. Rest in peace, my friend.

You will be missed, Bobby! I've had the privilege of playing with, and kowing Bobby since the late 70's. Display Data, Robert's and in our final days, of the Wilkens House Softball Club. Great player, power hitter and possessed a crafty glove. Beyond his personal athletic talents on the softball field, he was a "Class Act" off the field, as well! He played at the highest levels available and landed on quite a few Nationally Ranked Teams. Display-Data Roberts and Wilkens House to mention a few. Seeing Bobby at 3rd base, Alan Dial at short-stop and Davey Hartzel
at 2nd made my life at 1st base, a piece of cake!
Bobby was a great deal of fun on our road trips and a tough competitor between the lines! I miss you already Bobby! Thanks for all the great SOFTBALL MEMORIES and rest in peace,Hoot!

Great Teammate...Tremendous Gentleman
Had the honor of being BobbyL's friend, teammate thru the mid 80's.. Played with during Bush Sports Shop major run in 1984 and Car Center 85-86
Bobby shared his professionalism without words, you just wanted to carry yourself like Bobby... Between the lines the same all the time whether 25-24 or 25-0
He just played the game right, he just was the guy you wanted to say he gets it.
I saw him in his late 30's... Would have loved to see him in his OD days..
Coming up playing against Display & House Bobby always had good things to say to me.. Bobby Linthicum.. You will always be remembered as total class from the time you started your day time thru the time when we beat the tar out if some team... Thank you for my memories, never will be erased...You, Perk, Moon..... God Speed Brother.. Teach them cool up there as well......51
