| Its not Park or Tonkas fault that the Riverview league in general has been way below average. Although I do think the Riverview needs to discuss merging with another league like the Park National and have 2 seperate conferences like the St. Paul and Skyline split leagues. Next season they will have 5 or 6 teams and 4 are non competetive. Time to get some expansion teams or better yet merge. Every year you know exactly who will go to state and the playoffs are not even competetive.

| Yes it's true that Riverview is typically 4 or 5 teams strong and it's fairly certain Park and Tonka will go to the State Tournament every year, but trends change. We never said anything when the entire St. Paul Leagues were brutal top to bottom so why say something now?
I recognize they are at 7 teams, this year, but 4 or 5 good teams in one leage is better than St. Paul's entire product was for close to a decade.
The league commissioners will do what they choose to do without the voice of managers or coaches. I do know there are teams asking to enter the Riverview League every year they just haven't always said "yes".
Good luck to all the teams in the Playoffs and State Tournament.

| somebody is very wrong on this one. besides Tonka and Park always going to state. Hopkins, Bloomington and Edina are all very good teams. Edina played us very close and I would consider them as a better hitting team then most we've faced, with good pitching too. Hopkins and Bloomington too. I am not sure how current this is, but I pulled this off of the Riverview site. Riverview Record vs. Class "A" Teams: 39-11-1 (.765) but sure, I would be all for merging leagues if it is necessary.
