Hi,

Can someone please confirm or deny the rumors that all Easton bats will be banned for next year?

Our team has made a substancial investment in ordering brand new bats last year.

Is it 90% positive that we will no longer be able to use old stamped USSSA bats in the league starting next spring?

Most of you live in fantasy land. Hitting dingers out of Crosby? The ladies also accomplish this mind blowing treat. I moved out of fantasy land a while ago. Use legal bats.

As anyone swung the Monsta Senior slo pitch bat...what are your thoughts? I was told this bat has some pop.

I doubt it will amount to anything worth while. From what I read it's an ASA bat.
There are know bats out there that are great. Not 'proven' in senior ball or league play to be worthy.

That bat is unlike any other composite bat out there. It does not sound like the older composite bats. The older ones sound like a clunk when you hit with it, this sounds like an aluminum. Balance is just as great as the Omen from Easton. Same price as one too. Great power transfer.

Each association has their own testing that they choose to use, SPN,ASA,NSA,USSA,ISF etc. Now here is the thing, each company pays a fee for testing of approval of their bats, some manufactures choose not to be tested hence they do not get approved.

I like my new utrip catty but i'm hoping this has similar end load to the green one with performance similar to the yellow one. It is red.

Just wondering everyones opinion on who will be the big rivalries this year? Any teams have bad blood from last summer that could build up? The Arms/Summit war is a good start.

Most improved team? Well that will be the Pool Boyz of course.

No one ever gets tired of winning games. But everyone gets tired of losing, assuming, hearing lies & post game insults. Enjoy the games and hope for the best result. Anyone against the champs will be an interesting game in 2013.

I read a lot on here and other forums condemning people for swinging altered/shaved bats, but then those same people talk about their cracked bats "dropping bombs", "spitting fire", etc, etc. (see video of beer-league hero hitting bombs from 2nd base)
I have never swung a shaved bat so I have no point of reference but my understanding of the premise is to thin the walls so that there is more "trampoline effect". A crack in the barrel of the bat compromises the structural integrity of the bat also allowing it to flex more.
So while one person knowingly seeks out someone to physically alter their bat, the other alters it through use beyond its serviceable life.
In my opinion if you knowingly "turn the crack to the back and swing away", you are swinging an altered bat.
Am I alone in this? And should you be subjected to the same penalties as someone swinging an "altered" bat?

Any cracked bat I've ever swung (not on purpose, but broke while I was hitting BP or swinging in league), it always goes in the bag, not because I consider it altered, but because I found the performance of the bat is gone and it becomes useless. I have never swung a bat that was cracked and thought it was hotter then before it broke, just doesn't make sense IMO. While I agree with the poster saying it's the UMPs decision, any person in their right mind wouldn't swing a broken bat when it mattered. If I suspect a cracked/broken bat in any of my league games, I always ask the guy if it is cracked. If he says yes, I would tell him to put it away, and if he didn't, when he steps in the box with the bat, call time and bring it up to the Umpire, any decent umpire would toss the bat right away.
