| In boys district 16 I think it's up for grabs.On any given day anyone can beat anyone.American is the team to beat but it can be a tough road ahead. Homestead is a hard working team and so is belen. Westland, springs and goleman can be the surprises.In the girls side Springs is still the team to beat with mater showing they want it this year but haven't played good enough to their capabilities. Schedule isn't convincing either while springs and goleman are playing higher quality teams. Goleman has kept games tight and still need to start winning to show they are still in the race. Just my opinion.

| I see homestead got a wake up call yesterday. You have to show up in every game This week American plays both homestead and belen so will see if Homestead can bounce back as well as how American bounces back from back to back ties.

| Simple....Boys AMERICAN PATRIOTS. Even though they have 2 ties, they have beaten the best and are still undefeated. In Girls....Mater Academy 14-0!

| In boys I think the championship goes through American. Even tho any one can beat anybody they have the edge in the district. Girls I think springs is the team to beat. Mater is 14-0 but soft schedule and unconvincing wins vs Goleman and Springs doesn't make they team to beat. It's going to be fun to see the final standings and districts for both.

| the best team is Homestead.Other teams might work as hard as they do. They might want to win as bad as they do but they dont love soccer as much as they do. LEEEEETS GO BRONCOS!

| Homestead is a good tem but 3rd place and a loss against springs doesnt give you any bragging rights. The camp here is American. Top 4 in state last season and are now half through season undefeated and have 1st place. No arguement, and I go to Mater

| nothing wrong in thinking of yourself as #1, but you are right, American is the team to beat but every dog has his day....look at what happen to Sunset, Varela and Killian....why not American?

| You can have a bad day, I agree. But thinking youre number one is one thing. You have to look at the stats. The only thing haunting american is their finishing, they beat us 3-0 but if they had good finishing it would have been easily 6-0

| this district is the distric of hell. It has some pretty strong teams like American,Belen and Homestead.springs and goleman r good too but they slept at the beggining. all the teams r hunfry for victory.

| As the districts games come close to ending we see the top 3 teams in both sides pretty much defined and the spot for the fourth spot in a fight. In the boys, American shows the district still goes through them while Belen and Homestead showing there still contenders. Goleman, Westland and Springs are fighting for fourth with Goleman having the control of their own destiny. In the girls, side Springs showed why they are the top team in the district by destroying Mater 8-1 while Mater bounced back with a 1-0 victory over American. Goleman has the 3rd spot and I'm not sure who will Mater prefer to play in the semis but one thing is for sure they better fix their problems soon. AMerican has the edge for the fourth spot over HML with this weeks matchup defining that fourth spot. A coin toss between SPrings and Mater will see who finishes first and second.

| Congrats Westland on your earning a spot in district! It was a great regular season many games were close and that race for the fourth spot was interesting all the way to the end. On the girl side my bet is on springs winning it all but will have a tougher game vs goleman than in the finals vs Mater.

| Goleman having a tough year due to loss of seniors and a very good goalkeeper, safe to say this is a rebuilding year for them with only 2 seniors, mater playing well but still needs to prove themselves by beating springs. Springs of course, having the season I excepted. Springs will go in district play with an edge and my prediction is springs will beat mater academy in district finals.

| Homestead is doing good even after losing key players. They only have three seniors this year the rest are juniors sophomores and a couple of freshman's. Good job Homestead.
