DOUBLE STANDARD?

Most Miami-Dade and Broward high school coaches don’t have a problem with that. But what they do take issue with is a loophole in the rules: elite private-school players who are getting financial aid can get a waiver to play for their high school teams as long as it is acceptable at their respective academy.

In Broward, there are no exceptions to the rule, according to Victor Pastora, the director of player development for boys’ soccer at Weston FC “because it would be a double standard [between public and private schools].”

How many of these academys players get a FULL scholarship after being in the academy for 4 yrs. ?

Supposedly only arround 10% of south florida academy went to college as a starting players in 10 yrs. (that means that 1 out of 10 players will get an opportunity to go to school for free on a soccer scholarship)

Remember if you are going to a community college after staying in a academy you are losing big time

Remember your paying for a exposure of a probability!

Sunset boys looks strong but as as predicting them to go to state....I don't know. Whoever gets cocky will lose first. In girls it is obvious....Lourdes, I would say they have 50/50 chance of going to region finals.

North Miami vs. NMB is the gift that keeps on giving. Regardless of the competition, these rivals simply do not like each other. This game clearly lived up to the hype. As always it was toughly contested game with both teams not letting up. But at the end North Miami won with a superb goal from the All-Star free kick specialist #8 Widlin Alexis. Go Pioneers…

Looking at the Past games in all of the 5A. The 14 group is the only group that you dont know what is going to happen in any of these games. Is a crazy roler coaster. In the first round evrefything looked In favor of one team, now it just depends in in the last two games. Other groups the leaders are to far ahead. Maybe this is the hardest group to be in. Lets see what happens.
