| **One league of 16 teams split into 2 divisions of 8. Division 1 will consist of Smokin Joes and Wallet's Flooring (B-league champs). Division 2 will consist of Post 730 and Zembies. The remaining 12 teams will draw to see what division they are going to.
**The league schedule will consist of 1 doubleheader vs teams in your own division and 1 game vs the other division. (this way, every teams gets to play against each other) This will be a 22 game regular season. July 14th will either be a rain make up week or a seeded week vs the other division. (We usually have a 24 game regular season)
**However, the playoff format will change this year. All 16 teams will make a 3 game guaranteed playoff tournament, that will be going on over a 3 week span.
**Day 1 of the playoffs will be July 21st with groups of 4 teams, depending on your seed, going to either Vet Park, Oak Hills, Sunset or Clown. Every team will play only 2 games this day (all 16 teams will still be alive, even if you go 0-2).
**Day 2 of the playoffs will be July 28th and be held at Sunset and Clown Park. Teams will play 1-3 games this day, depending on whether you win or lose. (10 teams will be eliminated after this day).
**Championship day of the playoffs will be on Aug 4th at Clown Park, where the 6 remaining teams will decide who is the champ. (if you are confused, google 16 team tournament, 3 gg)
**Under this format, league fees will be $325 total and you will have to participate in the fundraiser. At the end of the year, we will refund you back $75 as long as you don't forfeit any games and attend all league meetings.
**We will be using all 5 fields that we used last year, during the regular season Oak Hills, Sunset, Clown, Rutherford and Vet. (limited use of Rutherford)

| Why can't we play a doubleheader vs everyone? I hate playing 1 game vs a team then have to play the other game vs another team. It isn't fair for the team that has to sit. I don't mind the playoff format though.

| You could play a DH against everybody, if teams want to play until the end of August.
But don't you play in a weekday league and a fall ball league where you sit in between games all the time?
So you are use to it.
Plus it will only happen 4 times and depending on the new league scheduler, you might not have to sit in between games at all.

| Let's get something straight, the new league scheduler is doing a complete random draw of teams listed 1 thru whatever, like YOU used to do it. So, the schedule is already predetermined and the teams will pick their number and then be plugged into it. I have asked for some common courtesy in making up a schedule to assist 6 players who also play in the Annville League but he is being true to the random luck draw. Hopefully, it works out for everyone involved, but I am afraid that it will not. I could see if the players were playing in out of town tourneys and there would be questions of being back in time, but, this is another area League that those players chose to play in and pay to be a part of it. Other adult sports Leagues ask each and every team for certain provisions and preferences to allow the League to adapt to them as best as it can. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, but they should compromise with the teams...face it, without the teams, the League folds. A perfect example is with the Central PA Modified Pitch League. 5 years ago, it had 12 teams and was looking to expand. However, due to some internal and external issues with the League and teams, it has collapsed in a very quick timeframe.
Anyone care to chime in with how the Lower Allen League, Hampden League, York League, etc are run?

| So Baldy let me get this straight. The person that use to complain that Home didn't make teams play on holiday weekends because they had tournaments. He would also schedule teams if they had preferences because they had tournaments to deal with is now asking for special consideration now that you play in two leagues now. My O My how things have changed.

| Sarago, I always made the case about the holiday weekends because it was always put out on the schedules as rain makeup dates and when rainouts happened, they would not be utilized. Instead, we would have 4 games in one day. That was my bitching points! I never had problems with Home's teams and Gashouse making arrangements to play extra or late games because they had their guys playing in tourneys. Now, to fast forward to the present. I asked the Smokin Joes coach, Steve, as well as, the new League scheduler, Bill to please take under consideration that there were 6 players (including myself, but the hell with me) that were playing on my team in the Annville League too. Our games in that League start at 1030am to give consideration that the Hbg games were in the afternoons. All I asked was to have the earliest game start at 130pm. This left numerous possibilities for games without putting the whole afternoon in jeopardy to allow everyone to play. It was a simple question. I posted what Bill told me...he wished me luck with the outcome because he was doing it as a random team draw. Fine. I will now have to re-evauluate my roster and find some replacements for those individuals who choose to get to the Smokin Joes games on time. I am not trying to break up the SJ team in any way, nor trying to impede the Hbg League Officials' decisions in the way they choose to move the League forward in 2013. As a player in the League, I am just putting in a concern as a member who pays League dues and participates in fundraisers. Again, I am not the only member of the Smokin Joes team that thinks this way, but one of the few who dont hold back with my comments. I will tell anyone and everyone to their face what I say on here. I dont hide behind aliases or blank posts. Sarago, good luck this year.

| I do agree with you that they should work with the schedule though. It makes no sense to be that strict with the way they are doing it with all those fields that we pay a flat rate for they could schedule games at different times then this. FOr some reason it seems that Bill has something to prove. This scheduleing is one reason I was in favor of the Big Woodys Mutiny team moving to the west shore league.

| According to the proposed League rules + changes 2013 - The League will be using 44/375 balls! Hope people know what bats they are using with these rocks and how many HR's will be hit. Last year, I believe I saw 52/300's being used in League. Sarago, keep me updated as how the other League is in regards to the competition. The Annville League is toying with hosting a local Central PA tourney between all area Leagues in the Fall. Thanks. Baldy

| There was no proposed league rules yet, the ones that you were looking at was for 2012. I just quickly did the 2013 proposal.
As far as the other stuff, the league officials decided by "majority" vote to proceed this way.

| Home, I realized that it was the 2012 rules and the proposed 2013 changes were in red to be voted upon at League meeting in March. Bill emailed me them for some reason and I looked through them. I knew Bill typed them (in red) because of the numerous spelling/grammar mistakes.

| After wiping away the tears, I have composed myself to allow me to read these infinite words of wisdom by the no-name assholes on here.
Honestly, the entire schedule sucks. But, I cant do anything about it so I am done with it all. Good luck to all the teams in this League. Dont park too close to rutherford park right field fence, or in the parknig lot in left field at Oak Hills because your cars are going to get pelted with softballs! Cant believe we are allowed back at the pony field at Veterans either after the hooligans behaviors during playoffs.
Have fun. Wear long sleeves and tick spray for finding balls at Clown.
Baldy has left the board...
