| I just thought I'd post the rule for the league about runners being used. Our opposing team yelled at us that you can run for one girl and one guy every inning as long as its the last up? I know that's not right, and an abuse of the courtsey...so here's what it actually says:
"A substitute runner for a declared batter (for injury or handicap) will be allowed only after the batter has reached base on their own. The substitute runner should be the last out of the same gender, and revert to the previous inning if needed."
Putting in your fastest runners in place of your slowest each inning is not a courtesy, its cheating. Sorry.

| That is correct on the rule unless your last out from the previous inning is the next guy up at which point it becomes the guy furthest from where you are in the lineup

| True statement, but this team amazingly had the fastest male and fastest female on their team running for basically every other person, every inning. It was bad. I'm sorry but being slow is not an injury or handicap.
We said something in the field but they just fired back at us and yelled that they were allowed to "substitute" runners every inning for one guy and one girl. They scored 11 runs, I'd be willing to bet that those two runners scored 8-9 of them because they ran for someone else.
We let it go after they yelled because if you call someone out on the rules you become the bad guy? Amazing right, but that's not why we are in this league, we are here to play and enjoy ourselves and be "slightly" competitive (our record indicates we are NOT very competitive haha).

| That was us and your wrong your not the ump so let the ump make that call kid. rule states COURTESY RUNNERS: A substitute runner for a declared batter (injury, handicap, etc) will be allowed only after the batter has reached at least first base on their own. The substitute runner should be the last player out of the same gender. Revert to previous inning if needed.
says nothing about max per inning.

| Please read ASA rules. These are the rules our league follows. Feel free to contact the president and board.
Either way, I'm over it..I wish your team luck.
