I'll start by saying the millers have the best 2,3,4 hitters at the 6,7,8 position

Chris Dewda has to be near the top. He has to lead the league in hit by pitches. I hate throwing against that lefty. OBP must be through the roof. Not to mention he just plain rakes.

What did you do?

It appears Park boys may be chiming in I'm in.

It is DUDA...he gets hit by pitches because he became a master at it long ago. I refer to it as a lost art.

I would be surprised if my boy Matt Miller Hopkins HS '87 does not still hold the record for HBP.

I believe he was hit by over 70 pitches between summer after junior year in HS through summer of legion after graduation.

Nice story...I know...my point he was old school.

DUDA is old school but he is about only 30. He learned to play that way. He probably is still up very near the top in NCAA DII HBP record... guys throw harder there then in town ball.

He would be in my starting town ball nine all classes all day every day.

His only weakness is with two strikes he becomes a royal pain in the rear. All crouching down, more on the plate, shortened up. I would suggest simply drilling him in these situations...he is a better pure hitter and more of a threat to get HBP in two strike counts.

Whether you throw 65, 72 (average town ball velocity), high 70's or 80's plus (13% of town b all pitchers) just drill him with two strike counts. Aim right for his ribs. He simply turns a bit, crunches in a tad and takes it. Now that he is a dad there is more cushion there it probably hurts less.

Story time over.

Mike Lueckeee you mean the cat from EP who use to be good? He was done a while ago and it was not too long after...

...Park beat EP in game three to go to state in I believe 2003...

Yours truly FINALLY brought in by Johns...9th..Park 7 EP 6...bases juiced, no outs...four pitches no runs scored game over Park to state.

Lueckeee in parking lot leaving with his parents because he still lived with them said..."that is embarrassing."

In his youth at the time he had no idea that he and his club had just been out veteraned by one of the top town teams in the state.

He may not have understood then. However I am certain he would understand now.

What all of you should understand is that if he is healthy and dialed up you won't want to face him. You could perhaps be better off facing Mellek from Tonka...
