| If you were on a intermediate A team last year and this year the team is going novice and you are the age required for a B Advanced team as well as have the skills needed can you be moved down? Why or why not? Thank You

| You unfortunately cannot move down. I believe the only way would be if someone was on an A team last year and there was no A team this year. But it's not like all stars where the main placement focus is skill level. It's strictly on age. Hope this helps!

| I think that the question really relates to whether or not you can move around on teams from year to year.
The age ranges are fairly broad at that level so you could be 12 and be on an A team or be 13 and be on a B team. I believe that the OP's question was, for example, if his daughter was 13 and cheered on an A team last year, could she cheer for a B team this year?
I don't know exactly what the age ranges are but I believe that you can cheer for B up to age 13. I bet Lynette could help! :-) She's always good for this stuff!

| Let me try to be a little help,, I really think I know who you are talking about and no you can not move down. Remember it is not that one girl who makes you level 1,2,3,4 it is a whole team. Maybe that team lost a lot of girl and have a lot of new girls. The coaches and directors know what they are doing and you need to let them do there job as they have the best interest for the WHOLE TEAM. And let's also remember you said she was on a intermediate team last year even if by any slim chance she could move do you think she is ready for an advanced team. Lets just make the best of the season and remember as we all want to win as long as they are having fun and making memories that is all that matters :)

| This is for EMASS only. The cheering rule states as follows: C. Once certified for a particular division, a participant shall not be permitted to recertify to a lower division(meaning once on and A team can not be moved to B or B to C or C to D) of play under any circumstances, but based on the information available shall be permitted to approve recertification to a higher division of play.

| Lynette, Does that mean advanced is a higher level of play? So can this be done? Thank you for your help with this. Looking forward to a great season.

| cheerdad, if your daughter was on A team last year she can not be moved to B team this year. It makes no difference if it was level 1 2 3 or 4. the coach will decide which level the whole team will preform . So yes if she was level 4 she can be moved to level 3 but has to stay on A TEAM.

| example: If your daughter cheered on an "A" team last year, doesn't matter whether they were novice, intermediate or advanced, she can not be moved down to a "B" team this year, no matter if they are novice, intermediate or advanced.

| I think lpw cheer dads point is, is that when your daughter or son has the skills to move up or be on any kind of advanced or intermediate team, it is dis-heartening to have them go back a level. They have worked so hard thru out their pop warner short careers to perfect their skills and then not be able to use them because the TEAM changed levels, just does not seem fair to the kids! I think Pop Warner should look at Allstar Cheer, they've nailed this! pardon the pun!
