| That's not true cheerlady. They are reviewing the possibility of invites tonight/tomorrow. A decision will not be made until after Karen Pope reviews scores.

| I hope they have invites..
Some of the teams that are moving on to Regionals may not have anyone to compete against as other conferences do not have teams in some levels.

| I am just stating what we were told at the start of the season. Which was no more invites. Only the top 2 teams advance in each division

| Does anyone know how we can obtain our teams scores? We didn't make it through but I believe we made improvements. I just want to give the girls feedback.

| Your coordinator should have picked up your score sheets at the end of the day on Saturday. All coordinators received all teams score sheets.

| I heard the same no invites. The teams that placed 1&2 deserve to be there. There are a lot of teams that qualified. Invites are not necessary

| I don't think they should have invites going to regionals. This is a competition and the top two teams deserve to be at regionals. Inviting other teams looks like the hard work the top two teams did to prove they deserve to be at regionals was for nothing. Even if they don't have competition at regionals, they will at nationals

| Especially with the elimination of the Qualifier competition, there should be no invites! It is not fair to the teams who work hard to earn those first and second place titles.

| But if a team from a different league has a higher score than those teams that placed 1st and 2nd say from another leagues 1st and 2nd an invite would be expected

| I think the invites are good. When girls take the mat at Regionals it is a feeling like no other. No matter what place they take it pushes them harder for the next year. It's not about second chances, it's about having the chance to feel the excitement of performing and possibly winning the title. The girls get so much from the experience. Too many feel it's about going to Nationals but sometimes it's about having the moment to be in the finals and be one of the best in New England.

| I do not think the league can please everyone. First there was too much competition now there is not enough. Everyone opinion changes year to year based on their current situation. I think the league has done a good job trying to find the balance.

| Invites are definitely being given out. I just got word for my coordinator that my team's score at leagues qualified them for a spot at regionals!

I coach the Bellingham Jr. Midget Med lvl 2 team. We came in 4th at our leagues. I was so incredibly surprised by this invite!!
We had a tough division at leagues (9 teams). I'm not expecting a trip to Nationals by any means, but I always love going to see the best of the best in New England. It's a great experience for the kids and always gets them to work harder the next year!

| So not happy about invites! Not fair at all. Last year there were none, so why this year? Also, in some divisions there are already 10 teams competing, why add more???? That is nuts!!!! Just saying....

| That also is really unfortunate for teams that were told there would be no invites and maybe have no been practicing...I think it needs to be set in stone before competitions start if teams will be invited or not becuase it becomes realy unfair in the end.

| Why all the complaining of invites. My team came in first, we like the idea of more competition. Who cares if a team gets invited. Stop complaining so much about the invites and get your team together. Unless the invites have you worried. Good luck

| I don't agree with invites this year. We don't have qualifies anymore and top 2 should only be going to regionals. We all had about two competitions to fight for our spot at regionals.

| I am greatful for the invite. We are up against fierce competion. I do not expect to place. I am happy that my girls who have worked hard and have had many odds against them is season get to perform again. Good luck to everyone!

| Invites should ONLY be given in a category where there are only TWO teams. Absolutely ridiculous to add teams in a category where there are 6 teams already. I am so disappointed. UGH!!

| Personally, I think the invites are great. It's a wonderful opportunity for those teams that are working hard a chance to see these amazing teams we have in New England.
I know my team is no where near the level of a Derby or a Billerica. However, I want my girls to see those teams and get inspired by them. I always tell my girls, you want to compete with the best of the best and getting an invites gives those girls that chance. Last year we competed against the national champs 2x and I think it made my team that much better and gave them that much more drive to work for it next year!
Most of the teams getting invites know they're not likely to move on, but its all about the experience and getting to perform in such a large venue (especially for Hockomock teams, since our leagues are held in a high school gym).
Best of luck to all this weekend (and next!!) I'm really looking forward to seeing all the talent that New England has to offer!

| I think some people have a hard time with the invites in cases where their team won multiple competitions, then perhaps they have one bad day at Regionals and are bumped out by a team that was not as good as them at the other competitions. I think a solution to all that would be to average scores from all competitions. that way the best of the best will be at the top.

| While I completely disagree with the invites (not the teams who were invited but in general), I absolutely applaud Suzanne for your amazing attitude and perspective! What a role model you are for the girls on your team and to all of us who read these forums! You definitely give us all a new way of looking at it that is healthy and encouraging. I hope that your girls have fun and are inspired (as is your wish) to build in the future!

| Completly disagree with invites. I like the idea of an average score ranking that someone posted. They do this in Allstar cheer on 2 day comps! GREAT idea!!! Also, Invites are absurd for divisions that already have 10 teams going to regionals!!!! Just stupid, really stupid!!! Its not fair to the teams that have placed 1st or 2nd in the first 2 comps than mabee have a bda day at regional then be bumped by an invite. Yes, mabee for the divisions that have NO competition of only 2 or 3 teams competing at regionals that may be ok...

| So why even have the EAstern Mass. Comp if more than 1st or 2nd move on? Doesn't make sense. 1st and 2nd place teams worked very hard to get those spots. Not saying other teams didn't work hard too, just have to eliminate some, isn't that point of the previous competition?

| Invites are given to teams that scores are really close to the winning teams. The only time I wouldn't want to see them is at Regionals. Only the top two teams from each division deserve to move on. Stop whinning. If you beat the other teams at Regionals, then you should have nothing to worry about???????
