| As for the individual who expressed their opinion regarding my coaching qualifications, please be advised that I have had the privilege of playing NCAA Div. II soccer for Regis University in Denver, Colorado back in the mid 70's and I can assure you the game has not changed much, if any. Also, last year was my first season as Head Coach of the BUCS and was humbled and honored to be named The Miami Herald/Miami Dade County Boys Soccer Coach of the Year for having the privilege of of guiding the BUCS to the Regional Finals only to lose to 3 time defending State Champs Cypress Bay. And as of this post, the BUCS are sitting on top of the "District of Death" with a District record of 5-0-2. Maybe it's the "Luck of the Irish".

| I believe the comments about the South Dade coach were about the girl's team. Not the boy's.

| The South Dade team they were complaining about is the girls team, not the boys. The boys coach they were complaining about is the Southridge coach.

| There was a comment made about the South Dade BOYS head coach not even being qualified to teach PE. As a parent to a player on his team I don't care what his qualifications are. Since last year Coach Callahan has done things with the South Dade soccer team that has not been done in years. He has a very talented team this year and they are proving themselves game after game. No matter where they end up in the District Standings this year I know my son has enjoyed playing soccer his senior year and representing his school and Coach Callahan.

| That comment was written by someone who don’t have much knowledge of what really goes on behind the scene. I do congratulate them on being a passionate fan but needs to be educated before commenting. The West Kendall area attracts a lot of talent from the nearby soccer academy. Many of these players change addresses so they can attend one of these schools. With the talent they have at these schools it is easier to win with just the talent. If they keep winning, the talent will keep coming. In most other schools the coaches have to work with what they have. In South Dade’s case, they use what they have in the school that lives in their district. I have seen all of the schools in that district play and not to offend any of the players but, they do not have the talent that the West Kendall schools have. I believe that South Dade and Southridge had the same level of talent. At least before the Southridge coach ran his talent off! The difference is the coach knowing his players. Knowing strengths and weaknesses and placing them where they will best benefit his team. I don’t know the South Dade coach personally but, I have either coached or coached against many of his players at the club level. They don’t walk on the field assuming they are going to win, they walk out there knowing they are going to give their best effort. That team has more grit than any team in that district and guess what, they are the top team. It is too bad that some would choose to knock what South Dade has done because this team keeps winning and not give them the credit they deserve. Coach Callahan, keep up the good job! I know a school up the road would be glad to have you there!

| According to the information provided by (YOU) in the beginning of this forum:( "please be advised that I have had the privilege of playing NCAA Div. II soccer for Regis University in Denver, Colorado back in the mid 70's and I can assure you the game has not changed much," )
SO YOU NEVER GOT TO PLAY DIV II UNIVERSITY SOCCER. YOU PLAYED COMMUNITY COLLEGE SOCCER, IN COLORADO STATE. which by the way is nothing wrong with that! SO TO UNDERSTAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE " THE GAME HAS CHANGED " YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT US PLAYERS ARE WATCHING. ALSO INFORMATION DOES CHANGE. JUST LIKE YOUR DID! KEEP IN MIND I'M DISAGREEING.

| To 'the truth' - just by the very fact you looked that up on the internet tells me one thing .That you need to get a life. South Dade is a true High School program in every sense of the word. So while you are not playing college ball yourself, at least you know how to work Google, so maybe you can get a job developing software that finds out if people actually played on a college team. I am sure you will make, like tens of dollars with that.

| The best thing for these South Dade boys is that the last 2 years the best players in South Dade have been playing organized CLUB soccer at the highest levels.... Cutler Ridge, Hammocks, HSC,etc.. Before that South Dade was crap....

| Anyone that attacks the success of a team, especially one that does not recruit, cheat the address system, had little success prior,is a small, jealous, little person, who lacks not only intelligence, but self confidence and class. Yes I am talking about you.
South Dade deserves what they are achieving, just as the teams before them did. This soccer community is one of so much self entitlement. Whoever wins, wins. The losers of the world start pointing fingers. The past is the past. Your school won 5 years ago. Great. Doesn't give you the title this year.
You want the title, then go win it yourself, don't expect the success of those before you, who obviously were better than you,to win it for you with their legacy.
