Class of 2011 - Alex Sabean - Player (Windsor /Hantsport)

Considered one of the top pitchers in the history of the NSIBL, Alex Sabean was a top competitor with a hard fastball and nasty change, who was always ready to play. Alex led the Windsor Knights in the early years and then moved to the Hantsport Shamrocks for a few championship seasons, before moving up to the Kentville Wildcats of the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League. Upon his return to the Intermediate ranks, Sabean chose to return to his roots and helped to build a strong "AAA" Knights program. Sabean was also a strong third and second baseman who had tremendous power at the plate. A great team player, Alex Sabean is an excellent and worthy addition to the Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League Hall of Fame.

Class of 2011 - Chris Hatchard - Player/Builder (Hantsport /Pictou County)

When it comes to winning, few can match Chris Hatchard's numbers. As the catcher and clean-up hitter for the Hantsport Shamrocks, "Hatch" led the powerhouse Shamrocks to a number of provincial and Atlantic championships, through his excellent game calling behind the plate and clutch power hitting in the heart of Hantsport's order. A great team player, Hatchard's work took him to Stellarton, where he led the already-strong Albion program to new heights in claiming more provincial titles, the most recent being last year. Hatchard was also a smart pitcher who won a large number of games on the hill for both Hantsport and Pictou County. In recent years Hatch was also the player-coach of the Albions, and was respected by his players for his hard work, commitment and winning style.

Class of 2011 - Jeff Hoeg - Player (Maccan /Amherst )

A class act with a strong arm and lethal bat, Jeff Hoeg is a deserving addition to the NSIBL Hall of Fame. Hoeg played during the early years of the League with the powerful Royals' teams, laden with top hitters such as Carl MacIssac, Rod Van Snick, Allen Dwyer and Darren Collins - to name but a few. Hoeg was always amongst the top hitters yearly in both average and runs batted in, while also logging heavy innings on the hill. Smart and hard- throwing, Hoeg took his talents to the young Amherst club and helped to build them into a "AAA" club. All who played against or with Jeff will agree that he was one of the classiest players to ever suit up in the NSIBL which, combined with his great skills, makes him a Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League Hall of Famer.
