| What is the criteria for cancelling the game? I drove by two fields and there is ZERO standing water? Forecast shows only scattered showers so just curious.

| keep in mind if you play in mud and tear up the fields somebody has to fix them which takes time and money

| It is not always about standing water. It is about the surface of the field and how much it can be torn up and how mucky it becomes while playing on it. We as league officials do not only have the responsibility that we create a safe playing environment we have to answer to the city on any damage to the fields. Also in talking with the umpires and knowing their standards and the fact that they have a liability if they allow the game to be played the decision was easy.
