TOPIC: Why has there been no adjustments to leagues? |

| I don't understand why there has been no adjustments to the teams in the different levels of the league! I see there are teams that should be moved up or down based on what they are doing or is being done to them, but the commish isn't acting on this. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to go out and get worked every week like SMPU posted. Does anyone know how this can be addressed? Thanks

| wow suck it up! play were they put you I have rarely in all my years seen anybody get moved an multiple leauges after it has started/

| Why am I supposed to "suck it up"? I asked a question that might be on the minds of other teams, and I don't think I asked for any personal opinion cracks from other teams or players. Just seems to make sense that if a team is in a level that is above them (however they got there) and another team is at a level that is looking easy for them maybe that should be looked at. Paying $ to show up each week to get worked or play 5 innings isn't exactly a great time I'm guessing.

| Its really on the teams captain at the beginning of the year to access the ability of his or her team to put them at a level to compete. Its on the team captains as well whose teams are sucsessful in previous years to have there team bumped up a level.

| It was addressed at the league meeting. ....I stated that my team SMPU who finnished 1-10-1 last year be moved down ...the Commish said lets give it two games and see if you still want to be moved down ....well its been 5 games and I have addressed this several weeks ago and was told it was up to the competition committee. ..no reply as of week 6 sounds to me like some teams in B are afraid to move up ...any if anyone has anything smart to say come find me I am the biggest dude on SMPU win lose or tie I play to have fun but at the same time I hate shit talkers!!

| WOW this has turned into a HOT topic hasn't it!! I guess it's striking a cord in one way or another with the league. I was told by another 2 teams that the level adjustments has been an issue for years and I guess the commishs team is one of the top 2 B teams that somehow can't move up, WEIRD! Anyway maybe in the future there can be a team grading system used for placement. Thx for sounding off.

| So to start this off I would like to say that "The Commish's" team is actually third from last place in the B Division and is pretty consistent every year. I've been playing with them for the past few years. I play in Leagues in Delta, Hoodview, Tualatin and tournaments all over and no Leaugue I play moves teams up or down during the Season. Honestly I play USSSA Ball against some really good teams and we get slaughtered but I know the only way to get better is to play the Best!! If you don't like the way things are run then don't play on the League. Whining about it doesn't ever get you anywhere.
Last thing is if you have a problem why not direct it at the person instead of posting it on here.

| First off one of the reasons for having a message board would be to create open discussions with in the league to hopefully make it better or workout potential issues. Secondly I was told the person that could address this issue was on SOP in B league and that the issue with team placement is a yearly thing do to various reasons, one of them being no real placement standard like say THPRD does. Bye the way THPRD does level changes if needed after 3 games, and no I'm not a THPRD homer so please save the comments. Thx again for everyone contributing constructive comments.

| I understand that THPRD changes things up after three game however that is also NSA Sanctioned if I am correct so different rules all together. As far as league alignment goes it's difficult for one person to make the call on everything from schedules to making adjustments in the midst of all that is going on this year. I know that the guy who is in charge this year has taken on a role that he was asked to right before the season so it is a learning curve for him. The is run better this year then it had been in years past and I am sure will get better in years to come. Does it stink that sometimes competition is not equal, yes it does, however there really isn't anything anyone can do about it because beyond the head person there is a competition committee that(Board) that decides what happens. If you start moving teams in the midst of a season then you would negate wins and losses for this team's moved which makes things difficult when it comes to the tournament at the end of the season.
I do apologize for previous comments made however in years past this message board has been a tool to bash and never went to the person it needed to. You are correct it is a place for sounding off and getting advice.

| Joe joe! They are pretty bad score of 8-0 after 2 before i decided to put becky at pitcher jimmy at catcher kristen in outfield scott 3b ext...get my drift so we could have a full game. They should be in b but can it cant happen now no we have gone to far and i like i said i have rarely if ever seen a team moved after the start of the season. We didnt plan on playing A my team was set to be a B team. If I knew i was going to be in A I would of filled it with my youngest and best tournament players.

| I also dont remember that at the meeting i remember hearing if we are in A its ok cause you improved your team. Whatever lets just have fun the leauge staff is doing awesome this year as always!

| I actually did address this in an email stating that with all the rain outs and rescheduling and not seeing any team in b that was truly dominating it was not realistic to make a move at the time of the request. Traditionally our league has not moved teams during the season. Having been on two teams that went O for regular season and tournament I understand.
