| Where are all you brain trusts...when the leagues/commissioners are attempting to make this event profitable. ALL I hear are gripes with NO solutions...the ONLY reason this event is still alive is through the efforts of Vellek and his crew...bottom line is if the players don't SUPPORT it...nothing will change...

| No that was not "Conley" but I am gracing the board for the first time this year right now. I admit I have popped onto the forum briefly a few times this year to silently check in. Although the board has been boring. Perhaps due in part to my immaturity being absent herein.
Besides no one wants to hear what an old has been has to say anyway. With that being typed I will chime in a bit in regards to the state tournament.
Vallek and his crew have worked hard and to a very high majority extent without them there would be no tournament. Perhaps any thing else related to Class A for that matter.
A little known fact and/or not readily admitted one is teams to the east in the past have made it clear they don't want to drive too far for a state tourney. Therefore, site options are limited. Haddux seems about in the middle to me.
There are many things not in line within Class A baseball and that has been the case for years. However with no varnish the scant few people who have dedicated themselves as much as they can should be thanked. For without them Class A baseball would be nothing but a summer scrimmage fest. Or individual leagues would simply do their own thing
So many teams do not get it. Support is not there and for every fifty complainers there may be actually only one person willing to step up.
Good luck to all teams moving forward in particular Pub and Park.
