PRESENTS
It’s THURSDAY NIGHT League
THE WAFFL’s night league is back for a fourth season of primetime action of playing flag football under the lights. The fun and excitement of having your peers watching you make the great catches and ankle breaking moves and game winning drives to victory with minutes left in the game. In honor of the pioneers of the game the playoff award will be named “The Hill Gang Award” and the league award will be called “Melvin Crab House Award”.
Cost: $425 per team, plus $45 referee fee per game. An $150 deposit is required to secure your team spot for the league. Six teams only first come first served. Remaining balance is due first week of season. This an open league to all. 1st and 2nd places Team trophies, USFTL points and bragging rights.
Start date is Thursday, Oct 9th. Location is Watkins Regional Park, 301 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774.
End date is November 20th
Game Time: 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm, and 9:00 pm.
Rules:
1. USFTL rules.
2. Extra point rules apply for one or two point conversion.
3. If an official ejects a player and/or team for fighting, a minimum of one game suspension will be applied to the player and/or team (forfeit next game).
4. Un-sportsmanlike penalty may result in the playing sitting for four plays, or when the calling official decides their return.
5. 10 minute lag time for first game only with a running clock and play will state on your arrival with the remaining time on clock.
6. Teams can start and play with 6 players. If team is leading by 18 or more with 2 minutes remaining the game will be stopped.
7. You can only play (one actual play on the field disqualify to play with another team) with one team in the league.
8. 1st and 2nd place teams earn a bye in the playoffs for Thursday night.
9. Two 20 minute running halves with two time-outs per halve. Clock stop on dead ball in last two minutes.
10. Only team players and coaches are allowed on sidelines. No team followers or spectators are allowed on sideline.
11. No alcohol or drugs allowed.
12. Teams must pick up their trash.
