This past weekend, Anna Wolfe (Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils), one of the original and longest tenured Razorbacks played in her final tournament at the 18u Pumpkin Smash.

Wearing #14 and owning 2nd base, her legacy with the Razorbacks is firmly cemented. She's the long-term lead-off batter who typically sets the tone of how much offense the team is going to put up during the first series at bat. And when her bat gets on a roll it typically lasts a good long time (10 or 11 hits in row one tournament last season). During the Pumpkin Smash, Anna slammed a 2 run homer in her second at bat to get things started for the Razorbacks (White) team.

A very quiet, steady, highly experienced, greatly respected, but definitely under-rated 2nd base, her signature diving plays against the grain to her right towards that area behind second base that she makes look so easy are a small example of the performances that will be extremely difficult to replace with her exit.

That along with the cries of "WOLFIE" and the howls from the dugout and the fans as she gets up the plate will be very much missed. But the thing that is mentioned most about what will be missed is the low-key, quiet team support Anna consistently brought with her.

Please know that you'll be missed deeply, Anna!! But you'll always have a spot on this team and in our hearts!! Best of luck to you and your future endeavors - which are certain to be full of successes. And thanks to Ken, Kris, and Nathan for their support and sacrifice. It's truly been a pleasure to share the field with you!
