| To start a team in the Green Mountain Baseball League, use the following as guidelines when organizing a team..... - Secure a roster of minimum 15 players (no roster limit) - Secure a home field for 6 Sundays during the months of May, June and July. - Flexibility for home field for Saturdays and Sundays in the month of August for playoffs. - Prepare to secure funds for $1100-$1300 for league fees (includes insurance, baseballs and playoff fees/baseball) - Prepare to secure funds of $2000 for umpires (22 game season) - Prepare to secure funds of $600 for field fees (fees vary per field) - Approximate minimum cost for team= $3900 (22 game season + playoffs) - Have access to team equipment (helmets, practice baseballs, catchers equipment, bats) - Most games are on Sundays (doubleheaders) with possible weekday games. Playoffs are best of 3 starting on Saturdays in August. Game 3 is on Sunday.
