Safe to say we'll be the best-dressed team in the entire league this season thanks to creativity and our new sponsor.

Can a member from the exec confirm how much money from the new sponsorship is allocated to new uniforms?

Thanks

Today we got a glimpse of what our athletes will be wearing at the Pan Am Games. I wish one of our teams could adopt those uniforms. They look awesome.

The guy in the white wearing number three was clearly the best player on the field.

The drills for the tryouts helped, a little sore today. Looks like a great league.

The following happened last year on a rainy night in another league:
Swinging bunt going down 3rd baseline......pitcher runs over to field ball, but looks as though it will go foul and decides to let it go.........However, while doing so he purposely drags his foot in front of the ball making a slight trench toward foul territory.......His foot did not directly touch the ball, but was extremely close and it was difficult to tell if the ball was already foul or not. The ball ended up rolling foul, but was immediately called fair by ump claiming the pitcher had influenced the path of the ball.

Is that the correct call?

Call is correct. It's the same if you blow on the ball or fan at it... if you unnaturally influence the ball to go foul, the ump is going to call it fair.

The rule states a runner may not be tagged between the commitment line and home plate. This is to avoid any collisions.

it does not state what happens If a runner is tagged.

Scenario.
Play off game
Down 1 bottom of 7th extra innings. Runner is on his way home. Throw is off. Catcher tags the runner. Ump calls him out. He starts to walk off... people say your not allowed to tag in that zone.. catcher then walks over and touches plate.

Whats the call ?

Hey guys, this came up in my game last year.

We're up with one out, runners on 1st and 3rd. Batter hits a liner to center field and 1B runner leaves at the crack of the bat/ when caught, 3B runner tags and scores. After ball was caught, 1B runner trys to retreat to first but it thrown out (for out 3), but only after 3B runner has already scored.

Run was counted but protested right away by team and umpire removed our run.

should the run count?

Yo Bud, perhaps the proper thread would bear more fruit.... answer is the run does not count. The play back to 1B is a force play because the runner has to tag up and your guy didn't, Doesn't matter when the run crossed. If it's still a force play somewhere that gets the 3rd out, the run does not count....may the force be with you next time !

We should have "try outs" for using the forum.
