Great call on the games tonight. Better than staying home with the old ball and chain.

I concur, it was great to play in game last night. It was a tad bit windy.

Better to wait until you have to make a decision to announce a wash out for the night. I tip my hat.

Peeling back the curtains on a rainy day afternoon be a nerve-wracking experience, especially if the forecast is sketchy. If there are no puddles on the ground and no storm clouds looming above, most players experience a rush of relief and excitement. On the flipside, any hint of precipitation fills players with a sense of dread and a belief that the baseball gods are conspiring against them.

You can learn to love playing in the rain, if you focus on the positives.

Football, rugby, and even soccer players play in the rain, sleet, and snow. Pretty much the only weather conditions that can stop most sports games are tornadoes and lightning storms. Why do baseball games get cancelled or postponed just for a light rain? What is the difference here?

The decision to play games on Tuesday night was ultimately the call of the year so far.... I think playing the games is much better than rescheduling games

Older players usually discourage kids from jumping in puddles, so youngsters (25-28) will be surprised and excited when you start a carefree splash contest on the field. Gear up in raincoats, take off the batting gloves and to head outside and stomp through pools of water during a rainout. See which team can create the biggest spray of water or give kudos for the most stylish tap dance routine. Now one will beat the Duchess team.

I am not sure about the comments above. It is easy to talk about events after the fact, it was a great call. We we constantly abuse people make decisions on this subject the city, the league and the umpires etc.
We should also praise or be happy when the decision was the right one.
