What is the deal with the poll? How can the most improved team be the current champs? How can Harding have so many votes when they were only a few runs away from playing in the finals last year? If Beaver won five games in 2014 and have six wins already this year, are they improved? Lots of questions and no answers.

A lot has happened since last September when MAS won the championship.

We had the draft which should have improved the bottom feeders. Teams have also been adjusting to the new players throughout the past few months.

The dust hasn’t quite settled yet, but most of the best teams remain superior. So which team has improved their future outlook the most since the season ended, both for next season and the years following?

Let’s look at five squads in particular on the way up. The old School, Jakes, Remax, Summit and Kelsey's only get better. Forgive me for the old names.

Draft appropriately is the key.

Hardy Boys won 4 games in 2014, 12 games in 2014 and so far they have accumulated 14 win. That to me is improvement and shows that the draft system works.

The key is longevity, can a team remain on the top or 12-15 wins per year?

Look up facts on the 07-15 data tab. Only a few teams can achieve that elite status of over 12 wins per season.

It is quite the achievement to maintain such high standards as plus twelve wins per year. Having high standards can make you team antisocial, such as nail-biting, skin-picking and hair-pulling. Which should only be done by perfectionists.

It is a major accomplishment to win that many games back to back in a very competitive league. When it is done for five plus years then we are talking about elite status.

From my point of view, and it's only a small sample size since I haven't umpired as much this year as in the past, I would say the most improved teams are Harding, Kelsey's and Beaver.

I would also make two other comments on these 3 teams: all have improved both on and off the field, and their uni's are excellent. Just sayin'. :)

Good luck to ALL teams in the playoffs coming up. SO glad to be a part of this league,

Those three teams are definitely the most improved teams and they look snazzy in their new uniforms.

The other issue on this thread speaks to wins. I think it's starts with good leadership. The teams that have it win, a very simple formula.

Crupi will be hard pressed to get the 13 wins they got last year.

MAS will be most improved when the playoffs come around. A shorter and younger bench.

Look like Hard is the most improved and the team to beat. They may never taste the bitter spoils of defeat again.

At the beginning of the year I would have predicated it would be Unionville Arms, because they got 2 young players that are underage and removed older folks from their roster.
