well this game went as planned you can't teach what god gives you and that's speed, height and bone structure and combine that with all around athletic ability it's just too much of an uphill climb... although I did like Evansville Central's version of Darren Sproles that little kid could move and was juking like a mad man.. a few things I will hit on the Rams defense actually dug in in the second quarter and put up a fight I know a one point the Rams had Evansville Central at a 4th and 4 at around midfield when a little out rote and miss tackle gave them a first down.. the defense actually held their own thoughout the game d-line and linebacker wise lol but when you are outweighed by 100 pounds on the line it's only a matter of time before you get worn down... a kid that surprised me for Paoli was the Sears kid now this kid can be a pretty good receiver in a few years he will be tough he made one good interception on defense... I wasn't too happy on the offensive play calling early I thought the Rams couldve mixed the pass in a little more to move the ball... which makes me ask the question athletes out of the question just using offense how the hell can Urban Meyer at Ohio State play 3 different starting quarterbacks last year with 3 different styles and 3 different characteristics and adjust their style into his offensive system and win a BCS title?... I look sometimes at small things like you might see a 2-3 yard yard look bad against Evansville Central but will explode for big yards against Valley and other teams.... NOW comes to my most important point and I about went old school "Scalf Mouthing" last night when I heard the special teams coach for the Rams yell at a player for letting a ball bounce over his head and roll into the endzone for a touchback yelling too him "chase it down pick it up ad run with it" OK this pisses me off because let me tell a little story in October of 2002 the Paoli Rams had a chance at winning the P.L.A.C Conference Championship it came down to the last game against Perry Central and I will breakdown the replay of what happened Perry kicks off to Paoli after scoring down 8-6 the ball hits the turf bounces up high Paoli's Chris Wilson jumps up and tries to catch the ball at the 20 the football bounces over his head so he turns around runs and chases it down at about the 2 yard line he tries to scoop it up he kicks it into the endzone Perry Central's Zeb Coltas comes running into the endzone falls on it in the endzone for a touchdown and 13-8 lead that would eventually lead to their victory and a conference championship loss for the Paoli Rams soooo I don't want some kid ripped into when it's a matter of giving up 6 points or starting on the 20 yard line... anyway next up is the Orange Bowl agaist Valley this will be a game to go to it will be a war

Its going to be a long year. And unless we have some guys grow into linemen, I don't see it getting better anytime soon. Backs and receivers are only as good as their blockers. It's not a knock on the young men on the field, I thought they fought hard Friday night.
