| You could make a case that the championship playoffs round – with it’s more than 12 teams—is closer and more talent-laden— than most years.
It’s the “big dogs” that are defined as top four certainly, but you could make the case that the bottom four has a shot is in terms of talent.
One thing this consolation section does, is allow teams to compete at the highest levels of play with the worst six teams in the league.
It should all be history a week from now.
