| So patriots forfeit and then allow no points which is most important in playoffs u forfeit should be 21 points add or something I'm saying it will play in the favor

| Yes we did forfeit our game vs the Bears. We had a planned trip to Gillette way before the season took place which the commish knew about. The plan was to play the Bears on Saturday (9/25) but somehow things didn't work out. League rules doesn't specify what a team that forfeits should get (points against). I think a score of "1-0" is sufficient as the league rules has no rule on that subject. This is a subject we can discuss on a "board meeting" to maybe come up with a league rule for next season.

| There is a forfeit rule in place and we have assigned a score of 6-0 to forfeits since the PVTFL was established in 1997.The fact that the Patriots were not aware of this can be attributed to the fact that this was voted on and put in place many years before the Patriots joined the PVTFL two years ago.
The Patriots did make me aware of their trip to watch the PATS game and as promised, I did make the necessary inquiries to both the Bears who were the Patriots opponent and the officials about moving the game to Saturday. Both the Bears AND the officials could not meet that request. However, the Patriots were given the opportunity to play the Bears at an earlier time on Sunday, but they chose not to do that.
Although the points awarded when a team forfeits is not specifically noted in our rulebook, it is the standard policy that the PVTFL has followed for many years.
