| Girls preseason Top 10
1. Gulliver- Although Gulliver is not the Gulliver of old, still a good squad in Miami Dade. A weak district and a weak out of conference schedule hurt this squad last year, let's see if they can return to their old form this season.
2. Lourdes- Always a contender because of the talent, Lourdes has not had a win against a top, state ranked, team since their '12-'13 season. A weak district will make their regular season record look good. Let's see if they can put something special together this season..
3. South Dade- Always seems to have a strong regular season but has difficulty making it to the post season. Little doubt that they were the best team in Dade during the regular season last year. Let's see if they can advance this year.
4. Ferguson- Always a contender and were in position to do well last season but the injury bug bit them hard last season, missing 5 starters when they played Lourdes in the Regional Semi's, including their Goalie. Let's see if they can stay healthy in the "District of death".
5. Miami Springs- Always a tough squad and well coached. Always has a chance to go deep in Regionals.
6. Palmetto- Always some decent talent on this squad and had the huge upset last season of South Dade to keep them out of Regionals. In the "District of Death" any of the top 4 teams could beat each other and anyone else in the county on any given day. Toughest district by far in Dade.
7. Coral Reef- Always a good squad playing in the toughest district. Time will tell what will happen with this squad.
8. Lasalle- Always puts up a good fight
9. Carrollton- Up and coming program with some good young talent and solid coaching.
10. Westminster Christian- A good program with some good young talent
Under consideration- Coral Gables, Mast, Ransom and St. Brendan.
*Remember, these rankings during the season do not mean anything, they are just a gauge of what has happened. It is where you finish at the end that matters most. Have a healthy season and good luck!!
