| The competitiveness of each division in the State can change each season. Some think the higher the division, the more competitive, but not so. If you look at this season 2A, 3A and 4A are the most competitive. 1A is always weak with the exception is St. John's Country Day. This season 2A, 3A and 4A have, by far, the most top 10 teams. 1A has one team in the top 10 and 5A has none. 5A was much stronger a few years ago with 4 teams or more in the top 10, it has become much weaker, especially with St. Thomas moving to 4A. With St. Thomas moving down it has opened the door for other teams to win the title, it is wide open this year.
